PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Bloomsburg University wrestling team suffered a 31-6 loss at Brown University on Saturday afternoon at the Pizzitola Sports Center. It marked the tenth consecutive loss for the Huskies, who fell to 3-12 overall on the season. The Bears, meanwhile, improved to 2-2 on the year.

Redshirt freshmen Matt Noble (Bridgewater, NJ/DePaul Catholic (NJ)) and Trevor Allard (Mexico, NY/Mexico) each posted victories for the Huskies on Saturday. Noble knocked off Brown's Jimmy Pawelski by decision, 10-3, at 133 pounds to improve to 12-8 on the season. Allard also won by decision, 5-4, over Andrew LaBrie at 174 pounds to run his record to 15-11.

Allard moved into a tie for the team lead in victories with freshman Kyle Murphy (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan). Murphy suffered a 2-1 loss to CJ LaFragola at 184 pounds - one of two bouts a Huskies' wrestler lost by a single point. Freshman Willy Girard (Williamstown, Pa/Williams Valley) suffered the same fate, 6-5 to Michael Russo, at 125 pounds.

The Bears collected bonus points at three weights to aid their victory. Brown's Zeke Salvo pinned redshirt freshman Grant Bond (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs) at 141 pounds while Jon Viruet earned a 10-0 major decision over freshman Reid Stanley (Fredericksburg, OH/Waynedale) at 165 pounds. The Huskies also forfeited the 197-pound bout.

Bloomsburg will attempt to snap the losing skid on Sunday afternoon when it heads to Sacred Heart University. Start time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
