BLOOMSBURG NOTES:
The Huskies enter Friday's dual with a 4-12 overall record and an 0-3 mark against Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) opponents. Bloomsburg snapped a ten-match losing streak its last time out with a 28-21 win at Sacred Heart on Sunday, January 22. The Huskies hadn't won since a 20-12 victory over Indianapolis on November 13.

The Huskies won six of the bouts against the Pioneers on Sunday, getting bonus points from freshman Willy Girard (Williamstown, Pa/Williams Valley) (forfeit) at 125, senior Kevin Laubach (Berwick, Pa./Berwick Area) (pin) at 157, freshman Reid Stanley (Fredericksburg, OH/Waynedale) (pin) at 165, and freshman Bruce Graeber (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) (major decision) at 285. Redshirt freshmen Grant Bond (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs) and Trevor Allard (Mexico, NY/Mexico) earned decisions at 141 and 174 respectively.

Laubach took over the team lead in falls this season with four while Stanley posted his second victory of the year by fall. The back-to-back pins turned a 12-9 deficit into a 21-12 advantage. Heading into the heavyweight bout, the Huskies led 24-21 but Graeber sealed the win with his first collegiate major decision.

Allard, with his victory last Sunday, took over the team lead in victories with 16. He sports a 16-11 overall record at 174 pounds while freshman Kyle Murphy (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) enters with a 15-10 mark at 184 pounds. Redshirt freshman Matt Noble (Bridgewater, NJ/DePaul Catholic (NJ)) (12-9) and Graeber (10-10) are also in double figures in victories on the season.

The Huskies are 6-10 lifetime against Rider in the all-time series. Bloomsburg has dropped three straight against the Broncs, including a 43-0 loss in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, last season. The Huskies have not won against Rider since a 26-10 victory during the 2008-09 season.

Bloomsburg leads the all-time series against Bucknell, 12-3-1. Last season, the Bison defeated the Huskies, 44-9, in Lewisburg. Bloomsburg has dropped two straight against Bucknell and has not won since a 24-11 victory at the Virginia Duals on January 10, 2014.

RIDER NOTES:
Rider enters the contest with a 7-1 overall record and a 3-1 mark in the EWL. The Broncs also competed on Sunday, January 22, and posted a 43-12 victory over EWL-foe, Cleveland State. Rider's only loss of the season came against Edinboro by a 22-10 final on Friday, January 20.

Rider has three wrestlers ranked in the top 20 in the country according to the latest InterMat rankings. Junior Chad Walsh is fifth in the country at 165 pounds, senior Ryan Wolfe is 13th at 197 pounds, and junior B.J. Clagon is 20th at 157 pounds.

Walsh is the reigning EWL Wrestler of the Year and is stating his case for that honor again this season. He is 21-2 overall and earned EWL Wrestler of the Week honors on Tuesday. He is ranked in the top ten according to four different organizations - fifth by both InterMat and The Open Mat and seventh by both Amateur Wrestling News and FloWrestling.

Freshman Evan Fidelibus is second to Walsh in victories with 18. However, Fidelibus is 0-3 against EWL opponents at 141 pounds. Fidelibus leads the team with eight victories by fall this season - just one ahead of Walsh's seven. Sophomore Anthony Cefolo is third on the team in wins (15) and pins (4) while competing at 133 pounds. He is 7-1 in duals this season - 3-1 against EWL foes.

BUCKNELL NOTES:
Bucknell enters with a 5-4 overall record and a 3-1 mark in the EIWA (The Bison wrestled, at home, against Penn on Friday night). The Bison won their third consecutive dual with a 25-15 victory over Brown in their last match on Sunday, January 22.

Rider has three wrestlers ranked in the top 20 in the country according to the latest InterMat rankings. Senior Victor Lopez is 11th in the country at 157 pounds. Junior Tom Sleigh is 16th at 197 pounds while junior Tyler Smith is 19th at 141 pounds.

Sleigh leads the team with a 21-4 overall record. He is 8-1 in dual competition this season and sports a 79-32 overall record in his career. The junior leads the team with seven major decision victories. Lopez, meanwhile, is 17-4 on the season and is three victories away from 100 for his career. He leads the team with three technical fall victories.

All four of Bucknell's losses this season have come against nationally-ranked opponents. The Bison opened the season with a 36-3 loss to top-ranked Oklahoma State and then followed that with a 33-7 loss at 12th-ranked Lehigh. Bucknell also lost to #19 Arizona State and #24 Virginia in mid-January.
