STORYLINE
The Huskies will play their third consecutive ranked opponent when they travel to top-ranked East Stroudsburg for a Tuesday afternoon contest. Last week, the Huskies defeated #5 Kutztown on Wednesday before falling at #2 Shippensburg on Saturday. Bloomsburg enters the contest ranked eighth in the latest Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II poll. A new poll will be released on Tuesday afternoon.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Bloomsburg leads the all-time series against East Stroudsburg, 47-10. Last season, the teams split a pair of contests with each team winning on their home field. The Huskies upset the then-#1 Warriors, 3-0, on September 6, 2016. Bloomsburg scored three second-half goals - one each from Stephanie Halsted (Fairfax Station, Va./South County), Ali McKay (Dover, Del./Polytech), and Erica Krebs (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) - and Lindsay Cassel (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) posted six saves for the shutout victory. Nearly a month later, East Stroudsburg returned the favor with a 2-0 win over the Huskies. The Warriors scored a pair of first-half goals and Danielle Ard stopped two shots to preserve the victory.

RHOADS WATCH
Head coach Nikki Rhoads is in her eighth season as the head coach of the Huskies and is just one win away from becoming the second coach in program history to reach 100 career victories. Rhoads has a career record of 99-47 as the Bloomsburg head coach and trails only legendary coach, Jan Hutchinson, in career wins at the school.

LAST TIME OUT FOR BOTH TEAMS
Bloomsburg battled #2 Shippensburg to the end but fell a goal short in its comeback bid as the Raiders escaped with a 3-2 victory on Saturday afternoon in Shippensburg. The Raiders jumped out to a 2-0 lead early in the second half before senior Geneka Mahan (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) scored her third goal of the season to cut the lead to 2-1 with 24 minutes left. After Shippensburg reclaimed a two-goal lead just 90 seconds later, sophomore Tesa Hoffman (Freeburg, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) tallied her second goal of the year with just over a minute remaining to cut the lead to 3-2. Freshman Hannah Barnard (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal), who was credited the loss, stopped six Shippensburg shots.

East Stroudsburg got back in the win column on Saturday with a 4-0 victory at IUP. The Warriors attempted only ten shots in the contest but scored twice in each half to blow the game open. Melanie Shambaugh, Bailey Quinn, Karly Conway, and Kelli Shapiro all scored for East Stroudsburg while Halle Frisco did not need to make a save in recording the shutout.
