STORYLINE
The Huskies look to pick up a key win against PSAC East rival Shippensburg on Wednesday (Oct. 4). Bloomsburg looks to defend its 3-0-1 record at the friendly confines of Steph Pettit Stadium. The Huskies currently sit in fifth in the PSAC standings with 17 points.
ALL-TIME SERIES
The Huskies are 19-8-2 all-time versus the Raiders.
LAST MEETING
The Raiders defeated Bloomsburg 1-0 in overtime back on Sept. 27, 2016 in Bloomsburg. Bailey Bzdak headed in a corner kick from Stephanie Allshouse just 1:58 into overtime to give the road team the win.
Megan Callan (Eldersburg, Md./Century) recorded four total shots, putting two on frame in the contest.
Allie Barber (Pittston Township, Pa./Pittston Area) fired three shots on goal in the loss.
LAST TIME OUT
The Huskies battled Clarion to a 0-0 2OT draw back on Saturday (Sept. 30) at Steph Pettit Stadium.
Jessica Milligan (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) led the offense with two shots, putting one on frame. Seven other Huskies registered shots in the draw.
Jenna Hawkins (Hamburg, Pa./Fleetwood) collected one save in her fifth shutout of the season.
The Raiders fell on Saturday (Sept. 30) at Seton Hill by a score of 4-1. Seton Hill carried a 3-0 lead into the second half before Isabella Weigel scored her third of the year on a penalty kick goal in the 63
rd minute. Shippensburg totaled 11 shots in the contest, while Kayla Kennedy made 10 saves in net.
SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
The Huskies are currently third in scoring in the PSAC, having totaled 23 goals in 10 matches. The team's 2.30 scoring average is also third in the league.
Rachel Yenney (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley)'s three goals and four assists have her in the team lead in points with 10.
Natalie Holmes (Laurel, Md./Archbishop Spalding)'s five assists are tied for second in the league, while Yenney's four are tied for third. Between the pipes,
Jenna Hawkins (Hamburg, Pa./Fleetwood) owns an .780 goals-against-average which is ninth in the league. Her .800 save percentage also sits ninth in the league, while her 32 saves is the fifth-highest total in the conference.
