STORYLINE
Bloomsburg looks to earn a key Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) road win at Slippery Rock on Saturday. The Huskies currently sit fifth in the conference standings with 20 points.
ALL-TIME SERIES
Bloomsburg is 11-12-2 all-time versus Slippery Rock.
LAST MEETING
The Rock defeated Bloomsburg 2-1 last season on Oct. 1, 2016 in Bloomsburg. Andrea Felix got the scoring started for the visitors with a strike from 18 yards out in the 21
st minute. The Rock went to the half with the lead but it was Megan Carroll who tied the match in the 47
th minute with her first of the year off an assist from
Allie Barber (Pittston Township, Pa./Pittston Area). Felix would later set up the game-winner in the 88
th minute on a quick play with Dara Demich, whose first of the season put The Rock ahead for good.
LAST TIME OUT
The Huskies faced two different two-goal deficits but ultimately made a stunning comeback against Shippensburg to win 4-3 on Wednesday (Oct. 4). After trailing 2-0 at the half,
Mackenzie Gebhardt (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen)'s fourth of the year got the Huskies on the board in the 50
th minute. BU would eventually go down by two yet again, nearing the final 10 minutes of play.
Jessica Supp (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) and
Hannah Miller (El Dorado Hills, Calif./Oak Ridge) set up
Lauren Hoelke (Blackwood, N.J./Highland Regional)'s second goal of the season in the 80
th minute off a free kick, before
Holly Norbury (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern Regional) tied the match at three-apiece in the 84
th minute with her first career marker. A late Shippensburg foul set up a free kick just outside the box. Miller played it down the far wing to Barber, who sent it to the net mouth.
Hailey Arpin (Odenton, Md./Arundel) was there to knock it in for her first career goal, which served as the game-winner. The Huskies capped the comeback with three goals in 5:59. In addition to the scoring,
Natalie Holmes (Laurel, Md./Archbishop Spalding) and
Megan Callan (Eldersburg, Md./Century) each contributed two shots in the contest, while
Erin Bielski (York, Pa./Century (Md.)) and Supp each registered one. As a team, the Huskies owned a 13-7 advantage in shots for the match, as well as a 12-2 advantage in corner kicks. Hawkins made one save in 57:18, while Schantz (1-0-0) collected her first collegiate win in 32:42 of relief.
SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
As a team, the Huskies are third in the league in scoring with 27 goals through 11 matches. Their 2.45 goals per game average is also third in the conference.
Rachel Yenney (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley)'s three goals and four assists have her in the team lead in points with 10.
Natalie Holmes (Laurel, Md./Archbishop Spalding)'s five assists are tied for second in the league, while Yenney's four are tied for third. Between the pipes,

SCOUTING SLIPPERY ROCK
Brooke Testa leads The Rock offensively, with nine points on three goals and three assists. Tess Keeley has collected eight points on two goals and four assists. Kaitlyn Barackman (3 G, 2 A) and Shannon McIntyre (3 G, 2 A) also have eight points apiece on the season. Nine other players have contributed points for The Rock on the year.
