CLARION, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University wrestling team suffered its fourth consecutive loss on Friday night after a 27-13 setback at Clarion University in an Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) matchup. The Huskies dropped to 4-16 overall and 0-6 against league opponents while the Golden Eagles improved to 5-9 overall and 2-3 in conference action.

After the Huskies dropped the first two bouts, redshirt freshman Grant Bond (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs) got Bloomsburg on the board with an 11-4 decision over Clarion's Evan Myers to cut the Golden Eagles' lead in half, 6-3. With the victory, Bond improved to 9-12 overall on the season.

Following another Clarion decision at 149 pounds, senior Kevin Laubach earned his second consecutive victory by fall as he needed only 2:33 to pin Mac Tanner and to tie the match at 9-9 through five bouts. Laubach improved to 11-15 overall and earned his team-leading sixth fall of the year.

However, the Golden Eagles put the match out of reach with four consecutive victories, including one by fall and one by forfeit. Freshman Bruce Graeber (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) ended the night on a positive note for the Huskies with a major decision win over Terrell Fields in the heavyweight bout. Graeber evened his record at 12-12 in his rookie season.

The Huskies will conclude the regular season on Saturday, February 18, with a non-conference matchup at Binghamton University. Start time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
