VESTAL, N.Y. - The Bloomsburg University wrestling team suffered a 46-0 setback at Binghamton University on Saturday afternoon to close out the regular season. The Huskies concluded the year with a 4-17 overall record while the Bearcats closed out their regular season with a 9-7 mark.
Bloomsburg could never get on track on Saturday as Binghamton won eight of the ten bouts with bonus points. Redshirt freshman
Grant Bond (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs) suffered a 6-0 decision at 141 pounds while freshman
Kyle Murphy (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) wrestled well against 15th-ranked Steve Schneider, but ultimately suffered a 4-0 loss at 184 pounds.
Bloomsburg University, and the Nelson Field House, will be the site of the 2017 Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) Championships on Saturday, March 4. Advanced tickets are on sale now at
