STORYLINE

The Bloomsburg University women's lacrosse team opens Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play with a road contest at Shippensburg on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

Shippensburg leads the all-time series, 27-21-1.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG

The Huskies outscored the University of Tampa, 8-2, in the second half to come away with a 10-9 victory on Wednesday evening. With the win, Bloomsburg moved to 3-1 in its' first four games for the first time since the 2011 season.

Senior Brigid Kyne (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown) leads the Huskies in scoring with seven goals and five assists for 12 points. She is also tops on the team in shots (18), shots on goal (13), and draw controls (17). Kyne has 107 career goals and is two shy of tying Kim Springman for 13th on the school's all-time list. She has also moved into 13th on the school's all-time career scoring list with 142 career points.

Along with Kyne, freshman Sydney Collins (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill), junior Taylor Turner (Corning, N.Y./Corning West) and sophomore Hannah Jaskuta (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown Area) each have scored seven goals for the Huskies. Collins also has five assists and 12 points.

SCOUTING SHIPPENSBURG

The Raiders enter the matchup with a record of 4-0, including a 10-9 win in overtime versus Findlay last Friday. Amanda Frank leads the team in goals (12), assists (7) and points (19). Allison Fugate (10 goals) and Ali Harclerode (7 goals) follow Frank and help out a Raiders team that has outscored its' opponents, 49-28 through the first four games. In goal, Bridgette Morrissey has started every game and made 19 saves while posting a goals against average (GAA) of 7.88.

The Huskies will return to action on Tuesday, March 21, when they continue PSAC play at East Stroudsburg. Start time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
