STORYLINE
Bloomsburg returns home, after a four-game road swing, to host Edinboro University. The Huskies enter with a 4-2 overall record and a 1-1 mark against league opponents but are coming off of a 12-9 loss at East Stroudsburg on Wednesday. Edinboro is 1-4 overall and 0-1 in league play. The Fighting Scots have lost three straight, including a 7-3 loss to Slippery Rock on Tuesday.
ALL-TIME SERIES
The teams have met seven times in the all-time series with Bloomsburg winning six of those contests. Last season, the Huskies posted an 11-9 victory over the Fighting Scots in Edinboro.
SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg comes in with a record of 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the PSAC. The Huskies are coming off of a 12-9 loss at East Stroudsburg on Wednesday afternoon which snapped a modest two-game winning streak.
Senior
Brigid Kyne (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown) leads the Huskies with 12 goals and six assists for 18 points on the season. She is also tops on the team in shots on goal (21), game-winning goals (2), draw controls (22), and caused turnovers (11) while ranking second in ground balls (16). Freshman
Sydney Collins (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) has enjoyed a fine start to her rookie season as she has chipped in 11 goals and six assists for 17 points. Sophomore
Hannah Jaskuta (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown Area) (10 goals, 11 points), junior
Taylor Turner (Corning, N.Y./Corning West) (eight goals, nine points), and freshman
Cailyn Gormley (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) (six goals, eight points) have also provided an offensive spark.
In goal, freshman
Angela DiPasquale (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) has played every minute and is 4-2 with an 8.50 goals against average and a .500 save percentage. She is sixth in the PSAC in save percentage and third in saves per game (8.50).Â
SCOUTING EDINBORO
The Fighting Scots enter Saturday's contest with a 1-4 overall record and an 0-1 mark in the PSAC. Edinboro has lost three straight, including a 7-3 setback to Slippery Rock on Tuesday.
Emily Peters is the play to watch, offensively, for Edinboro. She leads the team with 17 goals and one assist for 18 points. She has accounted for nearly half of Edinboro's 35 goals during the first five contests and ranks fourth in the PSAC in goals per game (3.40). Stephanie Chido is second on the team in goals with six while Olivia Potts is second on the team in points with nine (three goals, six assists).
In goal, Paige Skinner is 1-4 with an 8.80 goals against average and a .500 save percentage.
