STORYLINE
The Bloomsburg University women's lacrosse team finishes its three-game homestand with a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup versus first-place Slippery Rock on Saturday afternoon.
The Huskies enter the contest with a record of 5-3 (2-2 PSAC) and are coming off of an 11-10 defeat at the hands of Millersville on Wednesday. The Rock come in to the game undefeated at 7-0 (3-0 PSAC), and defeated West Virginia Wesleyan, 19-3, on Tuesday.
ALL-TIME SERIES
Bloomsburg leads the all-time series over Slippery Rock, 15-9.
SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
The Huskies come into the game off of a tight, 11-10 defeat at the hands of Millersville on Wednesday afternoon. Senior Brigid Kyne (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown) led the way with four goals while freshman Cailyn Gormley (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) added two scores in the loss.
Kyne is fifth in the conference with 2.25 points per game, and is first on the roster with 16 goals, seven assists and 23 points. Also, freshman Sydney Collins (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) is second on the team with 14 goals, six assists and 20 points for the year.
In goal, freshman Angela DiPasquale (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) is second in the conference with 66 saves, and is seventh with a save percentage of .478.
SCOUTING SLIPPERY ROCK
The Rock head to Bloomsburg undefeated on the season, with a record of 7-0 (3-0 PSAC). Slippery Rock is third in the conference with just 57 goals allowed, and boasts a PSAC-leading shot percentage of .471.
Senior Caitlynn Palladino leads the team with 17 goals, seven assists and 24 points, while Bre Vodde has added 16 goals this season.
Additionally, Emily Bitka has started all seven games in goal for Slippery Rock, and has stopped 51 shots, is giving up just 7.82 goals per contest.
UP NEXT
The Huskies hit the road for three consecutive contests, with the first being a PSAC matchup at West Chester on Wednesday, April 4. The game is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start.
