STORYLINE
The Huskies will look to carry momentum into Saturday's rematch at Shippensburg University after defeating #5 Kutztown in a mid-week thriller at Steph Pettit Stadium. Bloomsburg enters the contest ranked eighth in the latest Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II poll while the Raiders of Shippensburg reside at #2.
ALL-TIME SERIES
Bloomsburg leads the all-time series against Shippensburg, 45-20-1, but the Raiders have won eight of the last nine meetings between the two schools. Earlier this season, Shippensburg scored three unanswered goals to erase a 2-0 deficit and to knock off the Huskies, 3-2, in overtime, at Steph Pettit Stadium.
Geneka Mahan (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) and
MacKenna Mahan (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) scored less than two minutes apart early in the second half before Shippensburg's Rebecca Bouyea scored a pair of goals - the last coming with 2:34 left in regulation to force overtime. Emily Barnard gave the Raiders the win with a goal eight and a-half minutes into the first overtime period.

Bloomsburg earned a hard-fought, 2-1, victory over fifth-ranked Kutztown at Steph Pettit Stadium on Wednesday afternoon in the team's PSAC opener. Senior
MacKenna Mahan (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) broke a scoreless tie just 69 seconds into the second half before Kutztown was able to tie the game at 1-1 with 8:10 left in regulation. Junior
Brooke Zeiders (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) sent the Huskies' faithful home happy when she scored with 1:35 left in regulation for the game-winner. Freshman
Hannah Barnard (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) made her first collegiate start in goal and stopped five shots for the win.
Shippensburg scored three times in the second half on Wednesday afternoon to knock off top-ranked East Stroudsburg University, 4-1, in Shippensburg. Emily Barnard, Rebecca Bouyea, and Jazmin Petrantonio scored less than seven minutes apart midway through the second half to erase a 1-1 tie. The Raiders outshot the Warriors, 31-14. Ally Mooney stopped eight shots to earn the win.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
The eighth-ranked Huskies enter with a 5-3 overall record and a 1-0 mark in conference action. Despite only scoring a total of five goals over the last four games, the Huskies still rank fourth in the PSAC in goals per game (3.25). Bloomsburg is eighth in the conference in goals against per game (1.63). Senior
MacKenna Mahan (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) leads the Huskies in scoring with six goals and four assists for 16 points. She is fourth in the PSAC in scoring and ranks tied for eighth in the league in goals. Mahan has already surpassed her career-highs in goals (6) and points (16) and has tied her career-best in assists (4). Junior

SCOUTING SHIPPENSBURG
Shippensburg comes into the weekend clash riding a five-game winning streak to improve to 7-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play. The Raiders are second in the conference in total goals (31) but first in scoring average (3.88 goals per game). Senior Emily Barnard leads the conference in both goals (11) and points (23). She already has a career-high in goals and has tied her career-best in points. She also leads the PSAC with four game-winning goals. Freshman Jazmin Petrantonio is an early favorite for Freshman of the Year honors as she has three goals and nine assists for 15 points. She leads the conference in helpers and set an NCAA Division II record with six assists in a 6-1 win over Millersville. Junior Rebecca Bouyea has chipped in six goals for 12 points. In net, senior Ally Mooney has started every game and is 7-1 with a 1.21 goals against average and an .800 save percentage. She is fourth in the PSAC in goals against average and tied for fourth in save percentage.
