STORYLINE
The Bloomsburg University women's volleyball team continues Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play this weekend as it travels to face The Rock of Slippery Rock on Friday followed by a trip to Edinboro on Saturday to take on the Fighting Scots. The Huskies are on a three-match losing streak after picking up their first PSAC win in school history over Kutztown on October 5. The Rock split their two games last weekend while the Fighting Scots earned a victory in their last match to see their record go above .500 and improve to 11-10 on the year. Edinboro will play Lock Haven on Friday.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg enters this weekend's contests with a 5-15 record overall and a 1-10 mark in the PSAC Central division. Freshman Grace Giza (Plymouth, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) is starting to emerge as a key figure at the net and is third on the team with 81 kills while leading the team in blocks per set (0.55). Freshmen Emma Van Arsdale (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) and Bryn Stek (Ambler, Pa./Upper Dublin) have split time as the team's setter over the last eight matches. Van Arsdale still leads with 423 assists and is tied for fourth in the PSAC in service aces per set (0.45). Stek has led the Huskies in assists in each of the last eight matches and has 157 on the season (4.36 per set). Defensively, Mia Nicholes (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) leads the team with 30 total blocks while Giza is also in double figures with 26. The Huskies are last in the conference in blocks per set (0.94) but have showed consistent progress in that category over recent weeks. Sophomore Alyssa Cianciulli (Royersford, Pa./Pope John Paul II) is tops on the squad with 468 digs. She averages 7.09 digs per set - second in the conference and fourth in the country.
