STORYLINE
The 10th-ranked Bloomsburg University women's soccer team puts its nine-match unbeaten streak on the line as it travels to play 12th-ranked Kutztown University in a PSAC showdown on Wednesday afternoon. Both teams have already clinched a spot in the PSAC tournament and the Huskies currently lead the Golden Bears and the Marauders of Millersville by one point for the top spot in the PSAC standings. The Huskies can clinch the number-one seed in the PSAC playoffs with a win over the Golden Bears and a Millersville loss to Lock Haven on Wednesday.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Kutztown leads the all-time series over the Huskies, 20-14-3. Last season's contest was a hard-fought match that ended in a 2-2 double overtime draw as the Golden Bears scored in the 84th minute of regulation to tie the game and send it to overtime. Jessica Supp (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) and Maggie McDonald (Burke, Va./West Potomac) scored the goals for the Huskies. Jenna Hawkins (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood) recorded nine saves in the tie.

IN THE RANKINGS
The Huskies climbed five spots and are now ranked 10th in the country according to the newest United Soccer Coaches Division II national poll released on Tuesday afternoon. Bloomsburg also climbed another spot in the Atlantic Regional poll and is now the top team in the Atlantic Region also revealed by the United Soccer Coaches on Tuesday. Bloomsburg was last in the Division II national poll on September 28, 2010 when it was ranked 13th in the country. That season also marked the last time the Huskies advanced to the NCAA Division II playoffs. Kutztown dropped four spots in the national poll and is now ranked 12th. The Golden Bears were leapfrogged by the Huskies in the region as they dropped to second.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
With victories over Goldey-Beacom and Pitt-Johnstown last week, Bloomsburg extended its winning streak to eight straight and lengthened its unbeaten streak to nine consecutive games as its record improved to 12-2-1 overall and 11-2-1 in PSAC action. The eight-game winning streak is the longest in program history since winning nine consecutive matches from September 26 to October 24, 1998. Meanwhile, the nine-game unbeaten streak is the longest since rattling off ten straight without a loss from September 1 to October 6, 2001. Sophomore Natalie Holmes (Laurel, Md./Archbishop Spalding) scored both game-winners last week - the first two of her collegiate career. She scored the Huskies' lone goal in the 1-0 win over Goldey-Beacom last Wednesday and then scored the first goal of the game in the 5-0 victory at Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday. Sophomore Lauren Hoelke (Blackwood, N.J./Highland Regional) established career-highs in assists (3) and points (5) in the win over the Mountain Cats. Redshirt sophomore Jenna Hawkins (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood) started on Saturday and stopped two shots to record her PSAC-leading tenth shutout of the season. Her ten shutouts on the year are tied for second-most in a single season in program history. Heather Hartman holds the record with 12 during the 2001 season. She has allowed only one goal in the last 731:06 of action as she has lowered her goals against average to 0.35 while increasing her save percentage to .865 on the year. As a team, the Huskies have allowed only one goal in the last 821:06. Balanced scoring has been the theme for the Huskies on the offensive end this season. A total of 17 different players have registered at least one point with 14 of those players scoring at least one goal on the year. Hoelke and senior Allie Barber (Pittston Township, Pa./Pittston Area) lead the team with 12 points apiece. Barber has four goals and four assists and now has 20 career assists which has moved her into a tie for fourth on the school's all-time list with Patricia Cobane (1992-95). Barber also leads the team with three game-winning goals which puts her in a tie for eighth in the conference in that department. Hoelke has two goals and a team-high eight assists on the year. Her eight helpers are second in the PSAC this season. Holmes has also reached double figures with four goals and two assists for ten points while sophomore Mackenzie Gebhardt (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) has four goals for eight points. Defensively, the Huskies have allowed only five goals in 15 contests this season - tied for the fewest in the PSAC with Kutztown. Bloomsburg has allowed a PSAC-low 43 shots on goal this season and has conceded only 88 shot attempts all year. Hawkins leads the conference in shutouts with ten, is second in goals against average, and is third in save percentage.

SCOUTING KUTZTOWN
Kutztown enters Wednesday's match one point behind Bloomsburg for the top spot in the PSAC and has a 13-3-0 overall record and a 11-3 mark in the conference standings. In their last game, the Golden Bears were upset by Seton Hill on Saturday as they fell 1-0 to have their six-match winning streak snapped. Emily Zwiercan leads the team in scoring with 11 goals and two assists for 24 points. She currently is third in the conference in points and goals and leads the league in game-winning goals with seven. Kayla Argen is second with nine points on two goals and five assists. She is currently tied for eighth in the PSAC in assists alongside her teammate Erica Monte Carlo, who also has posted five assists on the year. Jenna Bracken has started all but one game for the Golden Bears and has posted a 12-3-0 record. She currently ranks first in the PSAC in save percentage (.931), goals against average (0.34), and is tied for second in shutouts with seven.
