SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
The Huskies, ranked sixth in the latest Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II poll, went 2-0 last week with victories at Millersville last Tuesday and at home against Slippery Rock on Saturday. Bloomsburg earned a 3-2 victory over the then-#5 Marauders and, in the process, snapped a ten-game losing streak against their conference rivals. Sophomore
Emily Alker (Cresco, Pa./Pocono Mountain East), senior
Erica Krebs (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia), and junior
Tesa Hoffman (Freeburg, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) scored for the Huskies in the win while sophomore
Hannah Barnard (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) tied a season-high with eight saves. Then, on Saturday, freshman
Arden Morgans (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) scored her first collegiate goal midway through the second half and sophomore
Dana Sheply (Maple Shade, N.J./Maple Shade) stopped six shots in her first start of the season as the Huskies knocked off The Rock, 1-0. Hoffman entered the season with two goals and one assist for five points in her first 38 collegiate games but leads the team in scoring this season with five goals and four assists for 14 points through only six games in 2018. She is tied for the PSAC lead in assists while ranking fifth in points per game (2.33) and tied for fifth in goals. Senior
Erica Krebs (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) is also off to a fast start with four goals and two assists for ten points. Krebs is ninth in the league in points per game (1.67). Junior
Ali McKay (Dover, Del./Polytech) is third on the team with a goal and three assists for five points. Eight other Huskies have at least one point on the season to help a balanced scoring attack. In goal, Barnard has seen the most action as she is 4-1 with a 1.14 goals against average and an .824 save percentage. She leads the PSAC in save percentage and is tied for the league lead with two shutouts. She also ranks third in goals against average and saves per game (5.60). Sheply made her first start of the season on Saturday and turned aside all six shots she faced.
