STORYLINE
The Huskies look to win their fifth straight in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) on Tuesday night (Apr. 3).

ALL-TIME SERIES
This will be the 25th all-time meeting between Bloomsburg and Kutztown. BU holds the series lead 14-9 with one tie included.

LAST MEETING
Bloomsburg closed out the 2017 season with a 14-12 win over Kutztown back on Apr. 26, 2017. Tracy Rusen (Martinsville, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) began the scoring just 1:26 in before Sydney Collins (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) put the Huskies up 2-0 less than four minutes in. Kutztown got on the board less than seven minutes in, before Taylor Turner (Corning, N.Y./Corning West) scored less than a minute later to get the Huskies up 3-1. The clock ticked down approaching the halfway mark of the period when Kutztown would strike for their second goal to make it 3-2. The Huskies would score the next four goals over a 4:55 span to stretch their lead to 7-2 with 10 and a half minutes to play in the half. Kyne (15:24) and Turner (15:11) scored 13 seconds apart before Nikki Fisher (Warminster, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy Academy) (11:01) and Cailyn Gormley (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) (10:29) scored 32 seconds apart to finish the run. Kutztown would score the next two goals to get within 7-4 with five minutes to play in the half, before Hannah Jaskuta (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown Area) scored with under four minutes in to put BU up 8-4. Gormley would counter a KU goal that came with 2:15 left in the half with one of her own with 1:29 left for the final goal of the half. BU took a 9-5 lead to the break. Kyne scored the first goal of the second half less than three minutes in, before Kutztown scored just 28 seconds later. The two teams would trade goals again just 52 seconds apart with KU's goal starting a run of four straight over the next four minutes. At the conclusion of the run, BU led 11-10 with over 20 minutes to play. Tori Wigand (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks South) interrupted the run with a goal just past the 10-minute mark of the half and the clock would tick down past the halfway point of the period. Kutztown's goal with 14 minutes left was countered by another goal from Kyne with 12 minutes left before Kutztown would get within one yet again with eight minutes left. Erin Boulger (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville Area) wrapped up the victory with her first goal of the game in the dying seconds.

Bloomsburg out-shot Kutztown 36-32 in the win including 26-25 in shots on goal. Kyne led the scoring effort with a team-high four goals, while Turner and Gormley each scored twice and another six Huskies each netted one goal. Collins finished the game with two helpers, while six other Huskies helped on one goal each. Bloomsburg totaled 26 ground balls to KU's 31, led by five each from Kyne and Angela DiPasquale (Paramus, N.J./Paramus). Turner and Julia Stauffer (Reinholds, Pa./Cocalico) each grabbed three, while Jaskuta and Delaney Schappert (Manorville, N.Y./Eastport South Manor) each picked up two and six others scooped up one each. Bloomsburg caused 13 of Kutztown's 25 turnovers, with Kyne causing a team-high three. Three Huskies forced two turnovers apiece, while another four forced one each. Bloomsburg also totaled 13 draw controls to Kutztown's 14, with Kyne's five being a team best. Gormley also pulled down four, while four others each recorded one. DiPasquale made 13 saves on her way to the win in between the pipes.

LAST TIME OUT
Bloomsburg defeated Edinboro 14-8 at home back on Saturday (Mar. 31) to keep its winning streak alive. Bloomsburg scored the first six goals of the game with the run encompassing the first 22 minutes of the opening half. Rusen began the scoring 1:29 in before Boulger scored just shy of six minutes in to make it 2-0. Turner (22:26) and Rusen (22:10) scored just 16 seconds apart before Rusen completed her hat trick 21 minutes in. Megan Smith (Lake Hopatcong, N.J./Jefferson Township) would get in on the scoring 43 seconds later to stretch BU's lead to six. Edinboro scored their first goal of the game with 34 seconds left in the first half, before Lindsey Coyle (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) scored the final goal of the half with 10 seconds to play. Edinboro scored the first goal of the second half less than five minutes in, before Rusen scored her fourth of the game just under seven minutes in. Edinboro would score the next three goals over a five-minute span to get within 8-5 with 17 and a half minutes to play. Jaskuta (17:13), Coyle (13:22) and Kirsten Wozniak (Oradell, N.J./River Dell Regional) (12:17) would score the next two goals for BU to put the Huskies up 11-5, before Edinboro would score at the 11:16 mark to make it 11-6. Jaskuta (9:45, woman-up) and Gormley (9:24) would put the Huskies up 13-6, before Edinboro would score the next two to get within five with three and a half minutes left. Collins would polish off the victory with a goal with 23 seconds left.

Bloomsburg outshot Edinboro 41-21 on the day, also holding a 29-17 advantage in shots on goal. Rusen scored a game-high four goals in the win, netting her second four-goal game of the season. Jaskuta and Coyle each scored twice and six others scored once. Grace Kelleher (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side) dished out a game-high four assists on the day, while Collins added two helpers and three others tallied one assist each. Bloomsburg won the battle for ground balls 37-31, with Tiffany Diachynsky (Barto, Pa./Boyertown Area) scooping up a game-high six. Allison Bardman (Barto, Pa./Boyertown Area) collected five, while Gormley, Smith and DiPasquale each picked up three. Five others recorded two apiece and another seven Huskies each grabbed one. BU caused 23 of Edinboro's 33 turnovers, led by four each from Diachynsky and Turner. Schappert caused three in the win, while Gormley and Jaskuta each caused two and another eight Huskies each caused one turnover. Bloomsburg won 17 draw controls to Edinboro's seven, with Turner and Bergman each collecting four. Boulger snatched three and Gormley registered two in the win, while another four each won one. DiPasquale (6-2) made nine saves in the win. 

Kutztown won their last game 14-8 over Gannon on the road on Saturday (Mar. 31). Sarah Gabriele began the scoring less than three minutes in, before Gannon knotted the game seven minutes into the half. Gannon would score another goal a minute later to take a 2-1 lead, before Makayla Bowman would score two minutes later to tie the game. Gannon scored the next three goals in just over three minutes, before Emily Smith halted the run with a goal with 13:23 left in the half. Gannon would score their final goal of the first half with under seven minutes to play, before KU would score the final four goals of the first half to take a 7-6 lead to the break. Bowman scored with 5:58 to play in the period, before Destanee Watkins (4:45) and Gabriele (4:15) scored 30 seconds apart. The final goal of the half came with 2:22 left off the stick of Lauren Schmidt. Kutztown scored the first two goals of the second half, beginning with a marker from Madison Carlucci just 1:28 in. Watkins would score just before the five-minute mark to put the Golden Bears up by three, before Gannon would score a little over a minute later to get back within two. As the clock ticked down into the final 10 minutes, Allison McCormick netted her first goal of the game to stretch Kutztown's lead back to three. Gannon would score their final goal of the game with 6:48 to play. After that, Kutztown would score four goals in the final seven minutes to seal the victory. Watkins scored with 6:31 to play, before goals from Gabriele 55 seconds apart and another goal from Schmidt polished off the win.

Kutztown out-shot Gannon 32-22 in the win, including 26-15 in shots on goal. Gabriele led KU with a game-high four goals, while Watkins netted a hat trick and Schmidt and Bowman each scored twice. Carlucci, Smith and McCormick each tallied one goal in the win. Gabriele also dished out two assists in the game, while four others each helped on one Kutztown goal. KU won the battle for ground balls 23-20, led by a game-high five from Smith. Three others collected four each, while Schmidt picked up two and four others grabbed one apiece. Kutztown caused 12 of Gannon's 22 turnovers, with a game-high five from Schmidt. Amanda Lehman caused three, while Devon Fitzpatrick caused two and Haley Kline and Meghan Vaughn each caused one. Kutztown won the battle for draw controls 14-9, with Schmidt recording a game-high four. Smith grabbed three in the contest, while Watkins and McCormick each pulled down two and another three players each registered one. Kline earned the win between the pipes making seven saves.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
The Huskies are fifth in the league in scoring with an average of 14.38 goals per game while allowing 11.57 goals per game. Gormley is the team's leading goal scorer with 19, while Rusen has 18, Kelleher has totaled 16 and Jaskuta has 15. Nine other Huskies have scored goals so far on the season. Kelleher's 16 assists lead the team and are tied for seventh in the conference, while Sydney Collins (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) (10) is the only other Husky with double-digit assists on the year. 10 others have helped on Bloomsburg goals on the season. Kelleher's 32 points (16 G, 16 A) lead the team and are also ninth individually in the conference, while Gormley's 22 points (19 G, three A) are second on the team. Five others have double-digit points on the year, and another seven have recorded at least one point on the season. The Huskies are tied for the conference lead in ground balls with 239, with DiPasquale's 31 being a team-best and tied for fourth individually in the conference. Nocito (25) and Diachynsky (21) are the only others with at least 20 ground balls to their credit, while seven others have picked up at least 10. The Huskies also lead the conference in caused turnovers with 131, with Diachynsky's 19 leading the team and being the fifth-highest total in the league. Turner is tied for sixth in the conference with 18, while Schappert is eighth in the league with 16. Nocito (14) and Gormley (10) are the only other Huskies to have caused at least 10 turnovers on the season. The Huskies have won 104 draw controls on the season, with Turner's 20 being the highest total on the team and the 10th-highest total in the conference. Smith's 19 are second on the team and tied for 11th in the conference, while two others have collected at least 10 draw controls on the season. DiPasquale has played every minute (492:51) between the pipes for the Huskies this season, making 74 saves which is the sixth-highest total in the PSAC. The sophomore also owns an 11.57 goals against average (GAA) and a .438 save percentage.

SCOUTING KUTZTOWN
The Golden Bears are tied for sixth in the conference in scoring with a mark of 13.38 goals per game, while allowing 10.75 goals per game which is the ninth-best average in the conference. Gabriele leads the team in goals with 21 which is ninth in the conference while Bowman is second on the team with 18 goals. Watkins (14), Schmidt (13) and Carlucci (12) are the only other Golden Bears with double-digit goals on the season, while 10 others have scored at least one goal. Gabriele's 14 assists also lead the team and rank ninth in the PSAC, while eight others have assisted on goals for KU this season. Gabriele's team-high 35 points (21 G, 14 A) are sixth in the league, while five others have at least 10 points on the season for KU. The Golden Bears are eighth in the conference with 203 ground balls, led by Watkins whose team-high 26 are ranked eighth individually. Fitzpatrick is second on the team with 25 and ranked ninth in the conference, while another eight players have collected at least 10 ground balls on the season. Kutztown is tied for seventh in the league in caused turnovers with 96, led by 14 from Lehman. Watkins and Fitzpatrick have each caused 11, while 16 others have caused turnovers this season for KU. Kutztown is also tied for seventh in the league in draw controls with 105. Smith's team-high 26 are the 10th-highest total in the conference individually, while four others have won at least 10 and another four have secured at least one. Kline has played all 480:00 between the pipes for Kutztown, owning a 10.75 GAA as well as a 466 save percentage. Her 75 saves are the fifth-highest total in the conference.
