STORYLINE
The fifth-ranked Bloomsburg University field hockey team returns to action for the first time since September 3 as they head to Seton Hill to battle the Griffins in a non-conference contest. The Huskies enter the game with a 2-0 overall record while Seton Hill has dropped each of its first two contests of the young season.
Â
ALL-TIME SERIES
Bloomsburg and Seton Hill have met 13 times in the all-time series with the Huskies earning victories in all 13 of those contests. Last season, the Huskies earned a 3-1 road victory at Seton Hill, jumping out to a 3-0 lead before the Griffins ruined the shutout bid with ten seconds left in regulation. Bloomsburg held a slim, 11-10, margin in shot attempts over the course of the contest.
Hannah Barnard (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) earned the victory in goal, playing the first 61 minutes before giving way to
Dana Sheply (Maple Shade, N.J./Maple Shade) to close out the win.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG

The Huskies, who made the biggest jump in the poll, received 99 total points including one first-place vote in this week's rankings. Bloomsburg is off to a 2-0 start on the season after posting a 3-2 shootout victory over now 10th-ranked Lindenwood University on Saturday, September 1 and a 5-0 shutout win over Bellarmine on Monday, September 3, with both of those contests played in Louisville, Kentucky. Senior
Tali Wehner (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) provided the game-winner in the sixth round of shootouts against Lindenwood to give the Huskies their season-opening victory. Junior
Tesa Hoffman (Freeburg, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) and senior
Erica Krebs (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) also scored in the win. Krebs then notched a pair of goals in the victory over Bellarmine while junior
Ali McKay (Dover, Del./Polytech), sophomore
Alyssa Broadt (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg), and freshman
Madilyn McKay (Dover, Del./Polytech) also scored. Sophomore
Hannah Barnard (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) stopped a career-high eight shots against Bellarmine to post her second collegiate shutout. Krebs currently leads Bloomsburg in scoring with three goals and one assist for seven points.
