STORYLINE
The Bloomsburg University field hockey team will be looking to bounce back from its first loss of the season last Wednesday against Kutztown when it heads to Millersville University for a non-conference showdown on Tuesday night. Millersville, meanwhile, is coming off of a 2-0 win at IUP on Saturday. The Huskies and the Marauders are tied for fifth according to the latest Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II poll released last week.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Bloomsburg leads the all-time series against Millersville, 43-17-4. However, the Marauders have won the last ten meetings between the two schools dating back to Bloomsburg's 1-0 victory over Millersville back on September 19, 2012. In the only meeting last season, the Marauders earned a 3-2 victory over the Huskies in Millersville.
Erica Krebs (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) and
Ali McKay (Dover, Del./Polytech) scored the Bloomsburg goals while Aliza Mizak scored twice for Millersville. The Marauders outshot the Huskies, 23-7, in the contest.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg, tied for fifth in the latest Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II Coaches Poll with Millersville, enters the contest with a 3-1 overall record but suffered its first loss of the season by a 2-1 final against Kutztown last Wednesday. Sophomore
Cheyenne Ott (Mount Bethel, Pa./Bangor) scored the lone Huskies' goal in the loss - her first goal of the season and the second of her career. Bloomsburg opened the season with a 3-2 shootout victory over Lindenwood on September 1 and then posted back-to-back shutout wins at Bellarmine on September 3 and at Seton Hill on September 15. Tesa Hoffman (Freeburg, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) recorded her first collegiate hat trick and also added an assist. She was named the PSAC Player of the Week for her efforts - the first weekly award of her career. Freshman
Kristen Robinson (Annville, Pa./Palmyra Area) notched her first collegiate goal in the win. Hoffman entered the season with two goals and one assist for five points in her first 38 collegiate games but leads the team in scoring this season with four goals and three assists for 11 points through only four games in 2018. She ranks second in the PSAC in points per game (2.75) and is tied for third in both goals (4) and assists (3). Senior
Erica Krebs (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) is also off to a hot start with three goals and two assists for eight points. Krebs is tied for sixth in the league in points per game (2.00). Junior
Ali McKay (Dover, Del./Polytech), sophomores Ott and
Alyssa Broadt (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg), and freshmen Robinson and
Madilyn McKay (Dover, Del./Polytech) have also scored goals this season. Sophomore
Hannah Barnard (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) has played every minute in goal and is 3-1 with a 0.93 goals against average and an .833 save percentage. She leads the conference in save percentage, ranks fourth in goals against average, and is tied for the league lead in shutouts with two.

SCOUTING MILLERSVILLE
Millersville comes into the contest with a 3-1 overall record and is coming off of a 2-0 victory at IUP on Saturday. Erica Tarsi and Sol Ortiz-Kreiner each had a goal and an assist for the Marauders in the victory while Katie Baker stopped two shots to earn the shutout. Millersville opened the season with back-to-back blowout wins over Queens (NC) on September 1 and Converse on September 2 before suffering its first loss of the season, 2-1, against West Chester last Wednesday. Tarsi leads the team in scoring with three goals and four assists for ten points. She is tied for the PSAC lead in assists and is tied for third in the league in points per game (2.50). Tarsi is also tied for third with two game-winning goals. Ortiz-Kreiner (three goals, one assist) and Kyra Brakefield (two goals, three assists) are tied for second on the team with seven points apiece. Brakefield is tied for third in the PSAC in assists. Aliza Mizak and Nadia Berardelli have also scored three goals for six points this season. In goal, Baker and Kristy Campana have each started twice. Baker is 1-1 with a 0.90 goals against average and a .778 save percentage while Campana is 2-0 with a 1.33 goals against average and a .600 save percentage.
