STORYLINE
The Bloomsburg University field hockey team returns home on Wednesday afternoon to host fifth-ranked Kutztown at Steph Pettit Stadium. The Huskies, who are playing their fourth nationally-ranked opponent of the year, will be looking to bounce back from a 5-1 setback at #6 Shippensburg on Saturday. The Golden Bears, meanwhile, have won two straight entering the contest.
ALL-TIME SERIES
Bloomsburg leads the all-time series against Kutztown, 55-9-3. However, the Golden Bears have won five of the last seven meetings between the two schools including a pair of one-goal victories over the Huskies last season.
SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
The Huskies enter Wednesday's contest with a 2-5 overall record and an 0-1 mark in the conference standings. Bloomsburg is coming off of a 5-1 deficit at #6 Shippensburg on Saturday as the Raiders pulled away with four unanswered goals after sophomore

Abby Shaffer (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) has started each of the last six games. She is 2-4 with a 2.65 goals against average and a .689 save percentage. She is third in the league in saves per game (5.17). Junior
Hannah Barnard (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) has seen action in four games and is 0-1 with a 1.64 goals against average and a .727 save percentage.
SCOUTING KUTZTOWN
The fifth-ranked Golden Bears are 6-2 overall and have won the last two games with wins over #3 East Stroudsburg and Slippery Rock last Wednesday and Friday, respectively. Kutztown upset East Stroudsburg in double overtime on a game-winner from Kyra Wozniak. The Golden Bears then shutout Slippery Rock at home, 4-0, with two of the goals coming from Leigh Roselli. Wozniak leads the team in scoring with seven goals along with three assists for 17 points in eight games. She is fourth in the PSAC in both goals and points. Mackenzie Fuhrman is next with four goals and five assists for 13 points with her five assists second in the PSAC. In goal, Katie Dotterweich has played nearly every minute and is 6-2 with a 0.95 goals against average and a .696 save percentage.

Bloomsburg heads to North Carolina for a pair of non-conference contests in Charlotte. The Huskies will play at Queens University on Friday, October 4, at 4:00 p.m. and then will square off against Limestone, also at Queens, on Sunday, October 6, at 11:00 a.m.
