STORYLINE
The Bloomsburg women's volleyball team wraps up its three-game road trip with a stop at near-by Lock Haven on Tuesday evening. The Huskies enter the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Central contest with an overall record of 6-13 while sporting a 1-6 slate in conference play. The Bald Eagles are 6-11 for the year and are still in search of their first conference win as they sit at 0-7 in PSAC Central action.

NEW LOOK
With the addition of Shepherd to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), the sport of volleyball restructured its divisions. The Central Division will consist of East Stroudsburg, Kutztown, Bloomsburg, and Lock Haven while the Northwest Division features five teams - Gannon, Clarion, Edinboro, Mercyhurst, and Slippery Rock. The Southwest Division boasts Seton Hill, Pitt-Johnstown, Cal U, and IUP, and the Southeast Division will consist of Shippensburg, Shepherd, Millersville, and West Chester. The four division winners will earn an automatic bid to the PSAC Volleyball Championship while the next four best records will earn at-large spots.

The Huskies and Bald Eagles are knotted at one game apiece in the all-time series. Bloomsburg won the last meeting between the two teams, a 3-2 victory on Lock Haven's home court.

Bloomsburg sits at 6-13 on the year, tying the program's single-season win record. The Huskies are currently 10
th in the conference in digs per set with junior
Alyssa Cianciulli (Royersford, Pa./Pope John Paul II) leading the way with 6.72 digs per set. Cianciulli also leads the nation in the category. The Huskies have given up the fourth-fewest aces this season (1.26 per set), while averaging 1.69 aces themselves. The Huskies are sixth in the PSAC with 1.88 blocks per set with freshman
Julia Burcin (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) leading the way with 0.77 blocks per set and 55.0 total blocks. Sophomore
Grace Giza (Plymouth, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) has chipped in 0.75 blocks per set for 53.0 total blocks this season while leading the team with 11 solo blocks. Offensively, Giza leads the Huskies with 173 kills this year (2.44 k/set) with a .169 hitting percentage. Sophomore
Mary Kate Mooney (Royersford, Pa./Pope John Paul II) is second on the team with 157 kills this year, averaging 2.31 kills per set. Coming off back-to-back assist/dig double-doubles, sophomore
Bryn Stek (Ambler, Pa./Upper Dublin) leads the team with 276 assists and is third on the squad with 140 digs. Against Cal U and Seton Hill, Stek posted 39 assists and 32 digs, including a career-best 22 digs against Seton Hill.

SCOUTING LOCK HAVEN
Lock Haven comes in to Tuesday match 6-11 on the year and 0-7 in the PSAC Central. After defeating each Salem and Glenville State 3-0 on September 20, the Bald Eagles have dropped nine-straight 3-0 matches. Lock Haven boasts three players in double-figure for kills with Breanna McDonald leading the way with 175; Gloria Groh is second on the team with 115, and Cassidy Hoover rounds out the top three with 102 kills this year. McDonald is 12
th in the PSAC in kills per set (3.07). As a team, Lock Haven is tied at the bottom of the PSAC with Bloomsburg with a .094 hitting percentage. Kristen Nealon leads the Bald Eagles with 462 assists this season and ranks 11
th in the PSAC, averaging 8.11 assists per set. Defensively, Paige Wolfe leads Lock Haven with 239 digs and McDonald and Groh have added 13 blocks each.

UP NEXT
The Huskies return home for a weekend series against PSAC Southwest opponents University of Pitt.-Johnstown (Friday, October 18 • 7:00 p.m.) and IUP (Saturday, October 19 •12:00 p.m.). The Mountain Cats are currently 7-8 on the year and face IUP on Tuesday, October 15. IUP is 3-15 on the year going into its game on Tuesday against Pitt.-Johnstown.
