STORYLINE
The Bloomsburg women's volleyball team hosts Susquehanna Wednesday night as they play their last home game for the next two weeks. The Huskies enter the contest with an overall record of 7-15 while sporting a 2-8 slate in conference play. The River Hawks are 23-4 for the year and 4-0 in the Landmark Conference.Â
NEW LOOK
With the addition of Shepherd to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), the sport of volleyball restructured its divisions. The Central Division will consist of East Stroudsburg, Kutztown, Bloomsburg, and Lock Haven while the Northwest Division features five teams - Gannon, Clarion, Edinboro, Mercyhurst, and Slippery Rock. The Southwest Division boasts Seton Hill, Pitt-Johnstown, Cal U, and IUP, and the Southeast Division will consist of Shippensburg, Shepherd, Millersville, and West Chester. The four division winners will earn an automatic bid to the PSAC Volleyball Championship while the next four best records will earn at-large spots.

The River Hawks lead the all-time series against the Huskies 1-0. Bloomsburg dropped a four-set decision last year when the teams first met.

Bloomsburg sits at 7-15 on the year, after dropping a pair of matches last weekend against Pitt-Johnstown and IUP. SophomoreÂ
Grace Giza, leads the team with 194 total kills, averaging 2.34 per set. SophomoreÂ
Mary Kate Mooney is right behind her with 188 total kills averaging 2.35 per set. SophomoreÂ
Sydney Buell is also over the century mark in kills this season with 121. JuniorÂ
Alyssa Cianciulli maintains the top spot in the conference in total digs (552) and digs per set (6.57) on the season. As a team, the Huskies are 10th in the PSAC in digs per set (16.18) and sixth in blocks, averaging 1.88 blocks per set. At the net, freshmanÂ
Julia Burcin leads the team with 64 total blocks while Giza is right behind with 63. SophomoreÂ

Brooke Kratzer, and Buell have split time at the setter position this season. Stek leads the Huskies with 318 assists while Kratzer has totaled 236. Buell has recently jumped into the mix at setter and has 75 total assists. Stek also leads the team with 28 service aces this year.Â
SCOUTING SUSQUEHANNA
Susquehanna comes in to Wednesday's match 23-4 on the year. After going on a 14-game win streak, Susquehanna dropped their most recent match to ninth-ranked Johns Hopkins last weekend. Susquehanna boasts four players with over 100 kills. Freshman Rosina Esposito leads the team with 317 kills. Junior Sydney Portale is second on the team with 305. As a team, Susquehanna yields a .240 hitting percentage. Senior Lindsey Pugh leads the River Hawks with 885 assists this year, averaging 10.06 assists per set. Defensively, Lizzie Herestofa leads Susquehanna with 394 digs. Senior Veronica Kirchner leads the team in blocks with 73 on the season. Sophomore Kody Dillon is second with 69 on the season. Â
UP NEXT
The Huskies will get on the road to take on PSAC opponents East Stroudsburg (Friday, October 25 • 7:00 p.m.) and Kutztown (Saturday, October 26 • 4:00 p.m.). The Warriors are currently 18-4 on the year and face Pace University on Wednesday, October 23. Kutztown is 8-12 on the year going into its game on Friday, October 25 against Lock Haven.
