BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University women's swimming team posted its fourth straight win on Friday night after it knocked off visiting Clarion University, 131.5-73.5, at the Nelson Field House Pool. With the victory, the Huskies improved to 4-2 overall in dual meets this season.

Carlie Owens (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) won two individual events and was a part of a relay-winning foursome while junior
Lindsay Mooney (Salisbury, Md./Parkside) had an individual win and was part of two relay victories to pace the Huskies on Friday night. Junior
Chelsea Ackerson (Hamilton, N.J./Steinert) won a pair of individual events while senior
Kiera Wadsworth (Blakeslee, Pa./Ridley), senior
Becca Cubbler (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford), and freshman
Courtney Hubric (Mohnton, PA/Governor Mifflin) had one individual win and one relay win. Senior
Shannon Ball (New Cumberland, Pa./Cedar Cliff) and freshman
Jenna Park (Mount Joy, PA/Donegal) were also part of relay-winning foursomes on Friday night.
The Huskies posted 13 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying swims with Ackerson, Cubbler, Park, and Owens leading the way with two apiece. Hubric, Mooney, Wadsworth, freshman
Alicia Lehman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks), and freshman
Anna Sugra (Millersville, PA/Penn Manor) had one each.
Bloomsburg opened the night with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay as Wadsworth, Owens, Mooney, and Park teamed up for a time of 1:49.48. Ackerson then won her first of two distance events on the night as she touched the wall first in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:51.03 - 28 seconds faster than Clarion's Mary Clare Smith. Ackerson's time was a season-best and third-best in the PSAC this season.
Cubbler won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.40 as she edged out Clarion's Morgan Manglaviti by less than half a second. Hubric followed with a dominant win in the 50-yard freestyle by posting a time of 24.69. Park was second at 25.12. Owens added her first win of the night in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:14.49 and then Mooney captured first place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.05. It was a season-best swim for Mooney and marked the sixth-fastest time in the conference to date.
Wadsworth earned her victory in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.11 before Ackerson won the 500-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 5:22.67 as she held off Sugra who finished second with a time of 5:26.49. Owens finished off the Huskies' individual victories as she claimed the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:07.63.
The Huskies finished off the night with Mooney, Ball, Cubbler, and Hubric teaming up for a winning time of 1:40.00 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
Bloomsburg returns to action on Saturday, November 16, when it travels to Dickinson College for a non-conference dual meet in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Action gets underway at 1:00 p.m.
