THE STORY
• The Bloomsburg University women's lacrosse team hits the road for the first time in 2019 to face Queens University of Charlotte Wednesday afternoon. The Huskies are 3-0 on the young season after a trio of home wins over Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponents, while the Royals enter Wednesday's game sporting a 3-2 overall record. Bloomsburg has not started a season 4-0 since 2000, when the Huskies went 10-3 overall and won the PSAC Championship.
THE HISTORY: BLOOMSBURG vs. QUEENS
• The Huskies are are 1-1 all-time against Queens University of Charlotte, but the two teams have not met since the 2011 season. The Royals won that game 7-6 thanks a game-winning goal with under four minutes to play in the second half. Bloomsburg has not faced a Southern Atlantic Conference (SAC) opponent since 2017, when the Huskies fell to Florida Southern, 21-10.
THE HUSKIES AT A GLANCE

Grace Kelleher (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side) scored four goals and added four assists to lift the Huskies to a 13-3 victory over visiting Jefferson Friday night.
Hannah Jaskuta (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown Area) and
Abby Bergman (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) added three goals apiece, while
Anna Dempsey (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts),
Allison Bardman (Barto, Pa./Boyertown Area), and
Kelsey Kilgallon (Spring City, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) each deposited goals in the win. The hat trick for Jaskuta marked her third straight game with three or more goals to start the season.
Angela DiPasquale (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) was magnificent in goal for the Huskies, turning away nine shots in the win.
• Kelleher has stuffed the stat sheet to start the season for Bloomsburg, leading the team in points (17), assists (7), and ranking second in goals (10). Jaskuta leads the team with 11 goals, while Bergman has six goals, two assists, and a team-high 16 draw controls. Dempsey has been tremendous for the Huskies early on, notching five goals, two assists, eight ground balls, and four caused turnovers. DiPasquale is 2-0 with a stellar .658 save percentage and a 6.50 Goals against average (GAA). DiPasquale also leads the PSAC in saves per game (12.50).
• Bloomsburg's defense has been stifling early in the season, leading the PSAC In caused turnovers (21.0) and ground balls (30.3) per game. The Huskies forced 27 turnovers and collected 27 ground balls in Friday's win over Jefferson. Sophomore
Erika Biehl (Springfield, Pa./Springfield)Â and senior
Abby Nocito (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) are both tied for second in the conference in caused turnovers with eight, while DiPasquale is second in the PSAC in ground balls per game (4.5).
Tiffany Diachynsky (Barto, Pa./Boyertown Area)Â has a team-high 10 ground balls on the year and seven caused turnovers, while
Delaney Schappert (Manorville, N.Y./Eastport South Manor)Â has four caused turnovers and six ground balls.
SCOUTING THE ROYALS
• Queens comes into the day at 3-2 overall, but the Royals are hoping to bounce back from a 14-12 loss to third-ranked Florida Southern last Saturday. Freshman midfielder Sydney Bracken notched her first career hat trick in the loss, while Hanna Scott, Allison Conn, and Katie Wardle each tallied two goals. Chase Brokaw got the start in goal for Queens and recorded a career-high 17 saves. Despite the loss, the Royals are ranked 18th in the latest IWLCA Division II Coaches Poll entering the week.
• Ally Blood leads Queens in points this season with 20 on 10 goals and 10 assists. Kara Blanchard has 17 points on 12 goals and five assists, while Scott has poured in 10 goals and five assists. Bracken leads the team in draw controls (15), and Cammy Case leads the team in caused turnovers (13) and ground balls (16). The Royals are tied for first in the SAC in goals scored with 83.
• Sara Mitrecic has started three games for Queens this season and has an overall record of 3-1. Her 8.99 GAA leads the SAC this season. Brokaw has started the other two contests this year, and has recorded 23 saves.
LOOKING AHEAD
• Bloomsburg opens PSAC play this Saturday, March 16, at Mercyhurst. The Huskies will remain on the road next Tuesday, March 19, when they travel to Shippensburg. First draw with the Lakers is set for 3:00 p.m. Saturday.
