THE STORY
• The Bloomsburg University women's lacrosse team hits the road in search of a bounce back Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) win Saturday at Edinboro University. The Huskies have dropped two straight home conference matches after a 6-1 overall start to the campaign, and are now just 2-2 in the PSAC, and 6-3 overall on the year. Edinboro is just 1-7 overall this season, but the Fighting Scots are coming off their first win of the season Wednesday at Gannon. 

THE HISTORY: BLOOMSBURG vs. EDINBORO
• Bloomsburg holds an 8-1 all-time advantage over the Fighting Scots, including a 14-8 win at Steph Pettit Stadium a season ago. Grace Kelleher (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side) had four assists for the Huskies in the win, while Sydney Collins (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) had a goal and two assists. Bloomsburg has won the last four matchups in the series, with Edinboro's last victory coming back on April 12, 2014.

THE HUSKIES AT A GLANCE
• Bloomsburg led 5-3 at the half, but a 10-0 Seton Hill second half would propel the Griffins to a 13-5 win over the Huskies Wednesday afternoon. Bloomsburg has now dropped two straight home PSAC contests after a 6-1 start to the year. Taylor Skawinski (Ledgewood, N.J./Morris Catholic), Hannah Jaskuta (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown Area), Allison Bardman (Barto, Pa./Boyertown Area), Gabrielle Piccolo (East Meadow, N.Y./East Meadow), and Kirsten Wozniak (Oradell, N.J./River Dell Regional) all had goals for the Huskies, while goalkeeper Angela DiPasquale (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) notched her 400th career save in the loss.

• Jaskuta leads Bloomsburg in points (30) and goals scored (22) on the season, and is just four goals away from reaching the 100-goal milestone for her career. Kelleher has been sidelined the last four games with an injury, but leads the PSAC in points per game (5.40), tallying 27 total points on 17 goals and a team-high 10 assists. Bergman has 13 goals, three assists, and a team-high 24 draw controls, while Dempsey has stuffed the stat sheet with 13 goals, five assists, 22 draw controls, and 12 ground balls. Kelsey Kilgallon (Spring City, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) has 14 points on eight goals and six assists, and Wozniak has three goals and six assists. 

• The Bloomsburg defense has been stifling in the first half of the season, leading the PSAC in caused turnovers (17.11) and ground balls (28.89) per game. Senior Abby Nocito (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) is second in the PSAC in caused turnovers per game (2.56) and 10th in ground balls per game (3.33), while Sophomore Tiffany Diachynsky (Barto, Pa./Boyertown Area) has 22 caused turnovers and 26 ground balls. Delaney Schappert (Manorville, N.Y./Eastport South Manor) is third on the team in caused turnovers (15), and Lana Paulo (Washington Township, N.J./Washington Township) is fourth in ground balls with 21. DiPasquale has been one of the best net-minders in the conference in 2019, posting a .560 save percentage and 8.75 goals against average (GAA) in eight starts. The junior is fourth in the PSAC in saves per game at 10.50, and ranks second in the conference in save percentage.

SCOUTING THE FIGHTING SCOTS
• Edinboro has struggled early in the season, posting a 1-7 overall record and a 1-3 record in the PSAC, but the Fighting Scots are coming off their first win of the season Wednesday at Gannon. Anna Leva and Sidney Dobbins scored three goals apiece, while goalkeeper Candace McDole recorded 10 saves in the 10-7 victory. The win marks the first triumph for new head coach LeighAnn Stauffer, who assumed the helm this past August.

• Leva has powered the Edinboro offense this season, leading the team in points (23), goals scored (18), and rankings second in assists (5). Dobbins is second on the team in points (13) and goals (11), and has a team-high 31 draw controls. Sophie DePalma has 12 points on six goals and six assists, while Mary Uplinger has seven goals and four assists. 

• McDole has started all eight games in goal for the Fighting Scots, and has a goals against average of 16.16. McDole has notched 89 saves on the year. Freshman Christina Clutter and sophomore Kaitlyn Binotto have both seen action in relief, and have combined for 20 saves.

LOOKING AHEAD
• Bloomsburg returns home next Tuesday, April 2, to host Kutztown, before traveling to Lock Haven on April 10.  First draw with the Golden Bears on Tuesday is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. from Steph Pettit Stadium.
