THE STORY
• The Bloomsburg University women's lacrosse team hits the road Wednesday for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) battle with Lock Haven University. The Huskies are 8-3 overall and tied for fifth in the PSAC with a 4-2 conference record, while the Bald Eagles enter Wednesday's tilt with a record of 1-5 in the PSAC, and 3-8 overall. Bloomsburg is eyeing a third straight victory after conference wins over Edinboro and Kutztown last week.

THE HISTORY: BLOOMSBURG vs. LOCK HAVEN
• Lock Haven leads the all-time series with Bloomsburg 27-20, but the Huskies hold the advantage most recently, downing the Bald Eagles 14-11 at Steph Pettit Stadium a season ago. Grace Kelleher (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side) powered Bloomsburg with five goals and an assist, while Braxtin Reddinger tallied four goals for Lock Haven in the loss. The Bald Eagles defeated Bloomsburg 20-10 at home back in 2017, with the Huskies last victory at Charlotte E. Smith Field coming in the 2005 PSAC Tournament.

THE HUSKIES AT A GLANCE
Grace Kelleher (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side) poured in a game-high five goals and added an assist as the Huskies rolled to a 15-5 home win over Kutztown last Tuesday. Abby Bergman (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) chipped in three goals, an assist, and a whopping nine draw controls, while Kirsten Wozniak (Oradell, N.J./River Dell Regional) added a goal and four assists. Bloomsburg outscored Kutztown 11-3 in the second half, including five straight scores to open the half.  Angela DiPasquale (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) got the nod in the net for the Huskies and recorded seven saves in the victory.

• After splashing in a pair of goals in Tuesday's win over Kutztown, senior Hannah Jaskuta (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown Area) is just one goal away from becoming the 15th player in Bloomsburg history to reach the 100-goal milestone for her career. Jaskuta ranks 15th on the Huskies all-time points list with 134 on 99 goals and 35 assists, including 25 goals and 10 helpers this season. She has scored at least one point in 10 of Bloomsburg's 11 games this year, including tying a career-high with seven points in a win over Chestnut Hill College in late March.

• Kelleher is second on the team in scoring with 34 points on 23 goals and 11 assists. The redshirt sophomore has scored seven points in just two games since returning from injury, and ranks third in the PSAC in points per game at 4.86. Bergman has been red hot as of late, tallying seven goals and an assist in the Huskies last two victories. The sophomore has 20 goals and four assists on the season, and leads the team with 37 draw controls. Anna Dempsey (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) has been effective on both sides of the field this season, notching 16 goals, six assists, 29 draw controls, 10 caused turnovers, and 14 ground balls.

• Defense has been the calling card for the Huskies midway through the season, as Bloomsburg leads the PSAC in caused turnovers per game (16.55) and ground balls per game (27.55). Senior Abby Nocito (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) ranks second in the conference in caused turnovers per game (2.64) and leads the Huskies in ground balls (32), while Tiffany Diachynsky (Barto, Pa./Boyertown Area) is fifth in the PSAC in caused turnovers per game (2.45). Delaney Schappert (Manorville, N.Y./Eastport South Manor) has 18 caused turnovers and 27 ground balls, while DiPasquale ranks second on the team in ground balls with 30. DiPasquale has been stellar in the net for Bloomsburg this season, leading the PSAC in save percentage (.559) and ranking fourth in goals against average (GAA) at 8.18.

SCOUTING THE BALD EAGLES
• Lock Haven has struggled in the first half of the season, compiling a 3-8 overall record and falling to just 1-5 in the PSAC after a 15-8 loss to #25 Mercyhurst on Saturday. The Bald Eagles have lost four straight dating back to March 27, and have surrendered an average of 17.5 goals per game over that span. Caitlin Morrow recorded two goals and three assist to lead Lock Haven in the loss to Mercyhurst, while Kate Hooper added a team-high three goals.

• Morrow has been tremendous for the Bald Eagles this season, leading the team in overall points (40) on 26 goals and 14 assists. Loren Librizzi has 38 points including a team-high 28 assists (2nd in the PSAC this season), while Hooper leads the team in goals scored with 29. Reddinger has talied 37 points on 22 goals and 15 assists, and her 44 draw controls are a team-high this year.

• Lauren Girardi has started all 11 games in goal for the Bald Eagles this season, and has .483 save percentage in over 604 minutes of action. The Sophomore has tallied 16 saves in each of her last two games, but has given up at least 12 goals in each of her last six games. Reddinger has been strong defensively as well, leading the team in caused turnovers with 13 and ranking second in ground balls with 21. Girardi leads the team in that category, amassing 38 ground balls this season.

LOOKING AHEAD
• Bloomsburg returns home this Saturday, April 13, to host Slippery Rock in a crucial PSAC battle. The Huskies will remain at home next Tuesday, April 16, to host West Chester, before hitting the road for a pair of conference games at IUP and East Stroudsburg the following week. First draw with the Rock is set for 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
