COMPLETE RESULTS

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University women's swimming team won its sixth consecutive meet on Saturday afternoon as the Huskies knocked off visiting East Stroudsburg University, 115-78, at the Nelson Field House Pool. Bloomsburg improved to 6-2 on the season while the Warriors dropped to 5-3 on the year.

Sophomores Elizabeth Turner (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) and Emily Smith (Youngwood, Pa./Hempfield) each posted Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying times on Saturday to give each member on this year's roster a conference mark on the season. Turner posted a time of 55.98 in the 100-yard freestyle while Smith swam a 2:18.52 in the 200-yard butterfly to get under the standard in that event.

Bloomsburg totaled 20 PSAC times during the meet with seniors Becca Cubbler (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) and Kiera Wadsworth (Blakeslee, Pa./Ridley), juniors Lindsay Mooney (Salisbury, Md./Parkside) and Kristen Bane (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands), sophomores Carlie Owens (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) and Liz Jackson (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley), and freshman Jenna Park (Mount Joy, PA/Donegal) leading the way with two apiece. Juniors Chelsea Ackerson (Hamilton, N.J./Steinert) and Kelley McHugh (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower), sophomores Turner and Smith, and freshmen Grace Beierschmitt (Dover, PA/Dover) and Courtney Hubric (Mohnton, PA/Governor Mifflin) each had one PSAC mark on the day.

Nine different Huskies collected victories on Saturday with Wadsworth and Hubric leading the way with two each - one individual and one relay. Ackerson, Cubbler, Park, Jackson, and Mooney each had individual wins while Bane and senior Shannon Ball (New Cumberland, Pa./Cedar Cliff) were part of the 200-yard medley relay team - along with Wadsworth and Hubric - that opened the meet with a victory. The foursome posted a time of 1:49.57 to win by more than seven seconds over East Stroudsburg's top quartet.

Ackerson earned her victory in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 18:24.40 - nearly a minute faster than East Stroudsburg's Tarah Killane, who placed second. Cubbler followed with a win in the 200-yard freestyle after touching the wall in 1:58.68. Hubric took second (2:02.72), redshirt sophomore Sarah Campion (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville) was third (2:04.00), and freshman Alicia Lehman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks) placed fourth (2:04.13) in the event.

The Huskies also had the four fastest times in the 50-yard freestyle as Park won with a time of 24.78 - just ahead of Mooney's 25.06. Owens was third with a time of 25.61 while Beierschmitt was fourth after touching the wall in 25.77.

Jackson won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:15.75 with Bane placing second (2:18.21). Mooney then won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:00.27 with sophomore Julie Marchioni (Reynoldsville, Pa./DuBois Area) taking second with a time of 1:02.53. Hubric followed with a victory in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.87 - four-tenths of a second faster than Cubbler's second-place result of 54.27. Wadsworth earned the Huskies' last win of the day with a time of 59.10 in the 100-yard backstroke. Beierschmitt (1:03.25), Campion (1:03.63), and Ball (1:03.66) placed second, third, and fourth, respectively.
