BLOOMSBURG, PA- The Bloomsburg University women's swim team dropped a 125-75 loss against Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) rival West Chester University as they hosted the Rams for the first time since October 2018, Friday evening. Junior
Grace Beierschmitt (Dover, Pa./Dover) led the Huskies as she secured the only win for BU in the 100- yard Backstroke.

Beierschmitt secured her win in the 100-yard backstroke out touching her competition by less than a half a second. Beierschmitt led off the third place 200-yard Medley Relay with a 50-yard Backstroke split of 27.75 and closed the second place 200-yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 24.45.

Graduate Student
Lindsay Mooney (Salisbury, Md./Parkside) took second in her two individual events, 50- yard Freestyle and 100- yard Butterfly with a time of 24.50 in the 50 Free and 58.71 in the 100 Butterfly. Mooney was also a part of the third place 200- yard Medley Relay with a 50-yard Butterfly split of 25.64.

Carlie Owens (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) led the Huskies in the 100-yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:10.85. Owens stepped up right after the 100-yard Breaststroke to lead off the B 200-yard Freestyle Relay with a split of 27.90.

Courtney Hubric (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin) picked up a third place in the 50- yard Freestyle with a time of 24.68. Hubric closed out the 200-Medley Relay with a 50-yard Freestyle split 24.05. Hubric rounded out her first meet of the season with a fifth-place finish in the 100-yard free touching the wall at 55.04.

Anna Sugra (Millersville, Pa./Penn Manor) started off her meet with a splash as she took third in her 200- yard Freestyle putting up a time of 2:02.17. Sugra secured second place for the Huskies in the 100-Breaststroke behind Owens with a time of 1:10.91.

Julia Riegel (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks South) came in with bang for her first collegiate meet as she took fifth place overall in the 200-yard Individual Medley touching the wall at 2:17.10. Riegel also took part in the A 200-yard Medley Relay with a 50-yard Breaststroke split of 31.20 and closed out her evening by securing third for the Huskies in the 100-yard Breaststroke finishing with a time of 1:11.06.

Madison Osanitsch (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg) swept the floor in distance for the Huskies as she placed fourth overall in the 1000 and 500- yard Freestyle and first for BU.

Freshman
Gabi Walsh (Elizabethtown, PA/Elizabethtown) competed in her first collegiate meet and collected a third place finish in the 100- yard Backstroke with a time of 1:01.55.

The Huskies season continues this weekend as they are on the road for their first away dual meet since 2019. The Huskies start their weekend off Friday evening as they travel to Edinboro University to compete in a 5:00 pm meet. BU is back on the road Saturday for a 1:00 pm meet against Division 1 Penn State University at the McCoy Natatorium.
