MANHEIM, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University wrestling team continued its strong beginning of the season at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic, Sunday. The Huskies had five second-place finishers and a third-place finisher throughout the tournament.

Junior
Bronson Garber (Millersburg, Pa./Upper Dauphin), senior
Aaron Coleman (Iselin, N.J./John F. Kennedy Memorial), sophomore
Trenton Harder (Gardners, Pa./Bermudian Springs), redshirt junior
Vincenzo Miceli (Port Jefferson, N.Y./Earl L. Vandermeulen), and junior
Bruno Stolfi (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) all finished second in their brackets while redshirt sophomore
Shane Noonan (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton Area) brought home a third-place finish.

Garber took second in the 125-pound E bracket. Garber got a tech fall over Vincent Milazzo at 7:00 in his first match of the day. He followed it with a bye through the second round. Garber pinned Bryce Beatty in his third match at 1:17. Garber suffered a narrow 5-2 defeat in the final match of the bracket to take second in the 125-pound E bracket.

Coleman worked his way through the 141-pound D bracket and took second with a pair of wins and a bye. Coleman had a tech fall over Anthony Pizzirusso in his first match at the 6:58 mark and received a bye through the second round. Coleman pinned Ben Freeman at 1:34 in the third round but fell to Justin Hoyle by a narrow 6-5 score to take second in the bracket.

 Harder went 2-2 through the 149-pound B bracket. He defeated Drew Witham 9-5 in the first round before falling to Steve Storm 3-2 in the second. After a bye through the third round, Harder finished the day with a 6-2 loss to Matthew Williams in the final round.

Micelli finished the day 2-1 in the 149-pound F bracket after winning his first match 8-4 over Luke Hart. Micelli fell to Hayden Butterfield in the second round, 8-3, but capped his day with a 8-1 win over Peter Haverick to take second in the bracket.

Stolfi went 2-1 in matches in the 184-pound E bracket to take second. Stolfi won his first match 5-4 over Gage Arnold and had a bye through to the third round. Stolfi picked up a 6-0 win over Joseph Lopresti in the third round before falling to Like Rada, 3-1, in the finals.

Noonan took third for the Huskies in the 285-pound D bracket after getting a bye in the first round and going 2-1 in his final three matches. Noonan won his second round match 6-1 over Thomas Marretta before dropping an 8-6 decision to Kade Carlson in the third round. Noonan won his finals match 6-2 over Nate Hoaglund to claim third.

The Huskies get right back to action on Wednesday when they host Shippensburg and King's College at 5:00 pm at Nelson Field House.
