Wrestling Competes at the Mat Town Open I Tournament on Sunday

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University wrestling team took 18th at the Mat Town Open I Tournament, hosted by Lock Haven University, Sunday afternoon.
 
Aaron Coleman (Iselin, N.J./John F. Kennedy Memorial) went 2-2 on the day at 141 pounds. Coleman won his first bout of the day after getting a bye through to the second round with a 15-0 tech fall over Landen Hacker of Virginia. Coleman defeated Drew Munch of Lehigh with an 8-3 decision in the quarter-finals of the championship bracket but fell to Vince Cornella in the semifinals to move to the consolation bracket. Coleman dropped his final match of the day to Evan Buchanan of Virginia 6-1to place in the consolation bracket.
 
Trenton Harder (Gardners, Pa./Bermudian Springs) picked up a 3-2 win over Aboubakare Diaby from Drexel in his first-round match in the 157-pound bracket but fell in his second-round bout. Harder picked up his second win of the day with a :30 second fall over Sean Grant from the Penn State Club in the consolation bracket.
 
Logan Flynn (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) earned a 10-5 decision over Danny Starr of the Penn State Club team in the consolation bracket of the 197-pound matches while Vincent Micelli picked up an 8-4 decision in the 149-pound consolation bracket.
 
The Huskies return to the mat on Wednesday at Clarion. The matches are slated to begin at 7:00 pm.
