THE STORY
The Bloomsburg University women's lacrosse team earned the No. 3 seed in the East for the 2021 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament. The Huskies finished with a 7-5 record against PSAC East teams and 8-5 for the regular season. Meanwhile, the ninth-ranked East Stroudsburg claimed the No. 2 seed with a 9-2 overall record and an 8-2 slate in conference play. The two teams will square off for the third time this year on Saturday, May 1 at Whitenight Field. The opening draw is set for 1:00 pm.

ESU SPECTATOR POLICY
With one of graduation ceremonies taking place on East Stroudsburg University's campus tomorrow, the PSAC quarterfinals game will take place at
Whitenight Field instead of Eiler-Martin Stadium. The capacity at Whitenight Field is limited to 200 spectators. There will be 100 spots reserved for each team to be made available via a team pass list. If capacity is not reached, additional spectators will be allowed in on a first-come, first-served basis until the capacity of 200 is reached.
BLOOMSBURG VS. EAST STROUDSBURG HISTORY
The Huskies hold a 31-16-1 all-time series lead over East Stroudsburg, though the Warriors hold a 7-3 advantage in the last 10 contests. ESU defeated the Huskies twice this season, 14-5 in Bloomsburg and 17-9 at East Stroudsburg. The last time the two teams met in the PSAC tournament was in 2010 and the Huskies defeated ESU 19-15 in the opening round.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
Senior
Abby Bergman (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) is having an incredible final season with the Huskies. Bergman leads the team with 40 goals and 45 points while dishing out five assists. She recently reached the 100-goal milestone with her sixth goal of the game against Seton Hill. Bergman has at least one point in 12 of the Huskies' 13 contests. She is fifth in the conference in scoring, averaging 3.08 goals a game. Senior
Anna Dempsey (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) is second on the team in scoring with 35 goals and three assists for a career-best 38 points. Junior
Kelsey Kilgallon (Spring City, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) is third on the team with 34 points behind 19 goals and tied for a team-best 15 assists while sophomore
Kate Roberts (Lehman, Pa./Lake Lehman) has 20 goals and 10 assists and is fourth on the team with 30 points. Sophomore
Kelsey Clauss (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) is tied with Kilgallon with 15 assists and has added nine goals for 24 points this season.
Defensively, the Huskies have been led by senior
Tiffany Diachynsky (Barto, Pa./Boyertown Area) who has had a career-year. Diachynsky has a team-best 44 caused turnovers and 42 ground balls. She is fifth in the league averaging 3.23 ground balls per game and second in caused turnovers, averaging 3.38 per game. Seniors
Erika Biehl (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) and
Lana Paulo (Sewell, N.J./Washington Township) are second and third on the team in caused turnovers with 22 and 19, respectively.

In goal, graduate student
Angela DiPasquale (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) has been a force for the Huskies with 9.59 goals against average and has compiled 95 saves this season. Recently, DiPasquale reached the 600-save milestone and now has 621 saves in her five-year career.

As a team, the Huskies are third in the conference with 170 goals in their 13 games. They are fifth in the PSAC and second in the East with 160 draw controls won on the year. The Huskies lead the conference with 181 caused turnovers and 289 ground balls. Â

SCOUTING EAST STROUDSBURG
Hana Cicerelle leads the Warriors with 46 points on the year behind 32 goals and a team-best 14 assists. Emily Mitarotonda is second on the team with 36 points while she is tied with Cicerelle with 32 goals. Cicerelle is fourth in the league with 4.18 points per game and eighth in goals per game (2.91). Mitarotonda is ninth in the PSAC in goals per game (2.91).

Defensively, Kayleigh Pokrivka leads the team with 24 caused turnovers and 23 ground balls while Madison Bagatta has a team-best 47 draw controls for the year and is eighth in the conference averaging 4.27 draws per game.

In goal, Tatyana Petteway has started all 11 games in net for the Warriors and has a 6.37 goals against average in 583:59 minutes in net. Petteway has 92 saves for the year and has a 9-2 record between the pipes. Petteway is third in conference in GAA (6.37) and first with a .597 save percentage.

As a team, the Warriors are fourth in the league with 169 goals while they are second in scoring margin, out-scoring their opponents 169-67 on the year. The Warriors have allowed just 67 goals this season, third best in the PSAC.
LOOKING AHEAD
The winning of the quarterfinal contest will take on the top-seed in the east, #4 West Chester University, in the conference semifinal game. The winner of the semifinals will take on the winner of the semifinal match from the West.
