BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University men's golf team dropped its season-opening match to the University of Scranton, 314-331, Saturday afternoon at Frosty Valley Country Club.

"Our first four put forth an admirable effort but an experienced Scranton team just proved to be too much for us," remarked head coach

Freshman
Pat Uebelacker (Spencerport, N.Y./Spencerport) finished third overall in individual competition with a round score of 77 (+5). Freshman
Jake Taylor (Tyrone, Pa./Tyrone Area) had a 81 (+9) for the round for the Huskies top group while Ryan Walker shot an 86 and
Jason Uebelacker (Rochester, N.Y./Spencerport) had an 87.

Three of the top four players on Scranton's group 1 squad shot in the 70's, led by Danny Harding with a group-best score of 76. John Shaughnessy of Scranton's second group had a round-best score of 75.
