CARLISLE, Pa- The Bloomsburg men's and women's swim team competed against PSAC rival Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) at the Keystone Aquatics center. The men shattered the field and took the win with a final score of 131-52, whereas the women fell just short of a victory with a final score of 101-85.

On the men's side, the Huskies dominated the pool taking first in nearly every event. The foursome of senior
Jace Fry (Palmyra, Pa./Lower Dauphin), senior Nick Madey, junior
Nick Fiddler (Plymouth Meeting, PA/Plymouth Whitemarsh), and senior
Collin Hummel (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg) started off the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay and finished with a time of 1:36.20.

Leading the way for the Huskies was junior
Luke Scoboria (Birdsboro, Pa./Exeter) who picked up 18 points for the team and collected two first-place finishes in the 200 and 500- yard freestyle. Scoboria touched the wall with a time of 1:45.33 in the 200 free and 4:48.70 in the 500 free.
Seniors
Pat Agnew (Pottstown, Pa./Pottsgrove) and Fry picked up one individual win and both added 12 points for the Huskies. Fry collected a win in his 50-yard backstroke and finished with a time of 23.90 as well as leading off the 50 back in the winning 200-medley relay. Agnew led the pack in the 100-yard freestyle and finished with the win and a time of 48.11 as well as helping the Huskies to the win in the 200-free relay to close out the meet.Â

Hummel and Fiddler both had an impressive day as they posted first place in all three events swam and added nine points each for the team. Hummel collected an individual win in the 50-yard freestyle touching the wall at 21.97 and Fiddler picked up his win in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 23.27. As well as both being a part of the winning 200-medley and 200- freestyle relays.

On the women's side, juniors
Courtney Hubric (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin) and
Grace Beierschmitt (Dover, Pa./Dover) led the way with 13 points each for the Huskies. Beierschmitt and Hubric both picked up an individual win and helped the Huskies to a first-place finish in the 200-free relay. Beierschmitt posted her individual win in the 50-back and slammed into the wall at 27.91, where Hubric picked up her individual win in the 50- free with a time of 25.54.

Sophomore
Madison Osanitsch (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg) dove back into distance and finished 2
nd after a hard-fought battle against IUP counterpart in both the 200 and 500-freeestyle. Osanitsch posted a time of 2:00.13 in the 200 free and touched at 5:20.67 in the 500 free as well as adding eight points for the Huskies overall.

The Huskies are away overnight and get right back into action tomorrow, January 22
nd at 9:00 am, for the John A. Pidgeon Memorial Invitational against IUP and Clarion University. Bloomsburg men's and women's swimming will also be competing in the IUP Last Chance Invitational Saturday at 4:00 pm.Â
