Cole Rhone (Benton, Pa./Benton Area) finished second in the 133-pound bracket as the Bloomsburg wrestling team finished eighth of 10 teams with 20 points at the Black Knight Invitational, Sunday.

Rhone went 3-1 on the day with a pair of bonus point wins to take second overall in the 133-pound bracket. He opened the day with a 8-0 major decision over Tommy Maddox from Buffalo. Rhone faced off against Rich Treanor of Army in the second round and came away with a 6-2 decision. He moved into the championship round with a fall at 4:49 over Domenic Zaccone of Campbell. Rhone fell in a close 4-2 match to Gabriel Hixenbaugh of Campbell in the championship match to take second.

After falling in the first round of the 174-pound bracket,
Matt Benedetti (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan) went 1-1 in the consolation bracket with a 5-0 decision over Nick Olivieri of Brown. He fell to Ross McFarland from Hofstra 10-2 in the third round of the bracket.

Shane Noonan (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton Area) opened the 285-pound bracket with a 9-5 decision over Jacob Kamisnski of Indiana but fell to Chad Nix of Campbell to move to the consolation bracket. He pinned his first opponent in the bracket, Adrian Sans from Hofstra at 0:38 before dropping a 7-4 decision to Greg Hodulick of Buffalo.

The Huskies return to the mat on December 2 when they travel to George Mason University for a pair of dual matches against George Mason and Gardner-Webb University. The matches are set to begin at 4:00 pm.
