BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University women's swimming team picked up a pair of wins over Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opponents in their first home meet of the season on Friday. The Huskies defeated Edinboro 121-83 and Millersville 130-73 behind 25 PSAC cuts, 12 1

rd place finishes, and seven event wins.

Grace Beierschmitt (Dover, Pa./Dover),
Taleah Ruben (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville),
Maggie Shaffer (East Petersburg, PA/Hempfield), and
Rylee Wenzel (West Lawn, PA/Wilson High School) set the tone for the day as they opened the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay with their fastest time of the season at 1:49.31.
Justine Drake (Phillipsburg, NJ/Phillipsburg),
Katie Eisenhofer (Reading, PA/Schuylkill Valley),
Gabi Walsh (Elizabethtown, PA/Elizabethtown), and
Julia Riegel (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks South) took fourth with a time of 1:52.55.

Maddie Osanitsch earned the first individual win for the Huskies as she swam a 10:51.37, a PSAC cut time, in the 1,000-yard freestyle. She touched the wall a full three seconds ahead of the next swimmer.

Sydney Lloyd (Nescopeck, Pa./Berwick) earned her PSAC cut in the 200-yard free as she took fourth with a time of 2:01.22, and
Anna Sugra (Millersville, Pa./Penn Manor) took sixth at 2:02.60, barely missing a PSAC cut. Ali Lehman finished eight with a time of 2:04.07.

Rylee Wenzel (West Lawn, PA/Wilson High School) won the 50-yard free with her fastest PSAC cut of the season at 22.28.
Courtney Hubric (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin) took second with her fastest season-time, 24.42, a PSAC cut. Riegel finished fifth at 25.75 with a PSAC cut.

The Huskies picked up a pair of PSAC cuts in the 100-yard fly as Shaffer took third with her fastest time of the season at 1:00.28, and Lloyd finished fourth at 1:00.51.

Wenzel and Hubric went 1-2 again, this time in the 100-yard free, as Wenzel won the race with her fastest PSAC cut of 52.65, and Hubric took second with her fastest PSAC time of 54.36.

Beierschmitt won the 100-yard backstroke with a new PSAC cut of 59.15, and Walsh took second with her fastest time in the event this season at 1:00.29. Drake just missed a PSAC cut as she took fifth with a time of 1:02.75, and
Jada Stambaugh (West Lawn, Pa./Wilson) took sixth at 1:02.97.

Osanitsch won her second event of the night as she took first in the 500-yard free with a new PSAC cut of 5:15.22.
Katie Sharkey (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) took seventh over with a time of 5:35.94.

The Huskies posted four PSAC cuts in the 100-yard breaststroke, including a second-place finish for Eisenhofer as she touched the wall at 1:08.80. Sugra came in fourth with her fastest time this season at 1:09.70. Ruben finished fifth at 1:10.70. Riegel turned in her fastest time in the event this season with a sixth-place finish at 1:10.77.

Bloomsburg closed the meet just as the Huskies started with a win in the final event. Beierschmitt, Shaffer, Lloyd, and Hubric won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:38.90, their fastest time this season. Lehman, Stambaugh,
Molly Krock (Pottstown, PA/Pottsgrove), and Walsh took fourth with a time of 1:45.99.

The Huskies return to the pool next Friday when they host Clarion in a PSAC meet at 5:00 p.m. at the Nelson Field House Pool.
