STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Bloomsburg University men's and women's track and field teams opened their busy weekend at the Fasttrack National Invite, hosted at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y., Friday.

Senior
Ashley Blannard (Larksville, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) led the women's team with a first place showing in the long jump, improving on her Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) distance with a jump of 5.59 meters. As of Friday night, that jump is the longest in the PSAC this season.

On the track,
Sarah Castronova (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) and
Delaney Porter (Pen Argyl, Pa./Penn Argyl Area) posted PSAC qualifying times in the 400-meter run. Castronova finished 10
th overall with a time of 58.55, improving on her previous PSAC mark. Castronova now ranks fourth in the PSAC. Porter posted a PSAC time as well as she took 20
th overall at 59.84.

Sophomore
Nicole Keeley (Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy) earned a spot in the 5,000-meter run at the PSAC Championship meet as she took fourth overall with a time of 18:38.64, the eighth-best time in the conference this season.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Castronova, Porter,
Phoebe Patterson (), and
Megan Gambogi () to third overall in the race as they finished at 4:06.54.

On the men's side, senior
Kevin Konyar (Winchester, Va./James Wood) led the Huskies with a personal-best time of 15:10.59 to earn a spot in the PSAC championships in the 5,000-meter run while
Tyler Bailey (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg) posted a PSAC time of 1:54.97 in the 800-meter run as he took second.

Senior
Hank Anderson (Oakland, N.J./Indian Hills) recorded a PSAC mark of 8.73 in the 60-meter hurdlers as he took 18
th in the prelims.

The 4x400-meter relay team of
Brady Dowell (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township), Bailey,
Andrew Basile (Easton, Pa./Easton Area), and
Robert Wilson (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) narrowly improved their seeding time in the PSAC with a second-place time of 3:24.05.
