FLEETWOOD, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's golf team sits one stroke back of the lead after day one of the Golden Oaks Shootout hosted by Arcadia at Golden Oaks Golf Club on Sunday afternoon.

The Huskies shot at team score of 342 (+54), one stroke behind Virginia Wesleyan.

Freshman Noemi Kriszo holds a four-stroke lead over the rest of the field after shooting a seven-over 79 in the opening round. Her round was highlighted by a birdie on hole 12 and three-straight pars to finish the round.

Olivia Martinez (Bellevue, Ohio/Bellevue) posted three birdies on the back-nine en route to an 84 (+12), leaving her in a tie for fourth.

Ryleigh Faust (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) also finished day one in the top ten with a an 89 (+17), while
Grace Green's (Shadyside, Ohio/Shadyside High School) 19-over 90 lands her in a four-way tie for tenth after 18 holes of play.

Julia Zonca's (Newton, N.J./Newton High School) 22-over 90 lands her in a tie for 17th heading into day two.

The Huskies return to the Golden Oaks Golf Club on Monday, October 2 for the second round of the Golden Oaks Shootout.
