KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's golf team won the Kutztown Women's Fall Invitational while recording three top ten finishes at the Moselem Spring Golf Club on Monday afternoon.

It is the third tournament victory for the women's golf program and first under head coach Chad Anthony. After trailing by four strokes on day one, dropped seven strokes off its team score to post a 54-over par 334 as a team.

Emma Lewis (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown) shaved three strokes off her opening round to place fourth, carding an eight-over 78. The freshman went two-over on the front nine, highlighted by a birdie on the par-four, 395-yard eighth hole. Lewis tallied a two-day score of 159 (+19).

Nadia Yackanicz (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) posted a 16-over 86 in the second round, finishing sixth overall at 28-over par (168). The Schwenksville-native had a strong start to her round with five pars through the first six holes.

Kate Pettersen (Alberta, Canada/North Island Distance Education) tied for ninth with after carding a 14-over 84 on day two. The Alberta, Canada-native finished the day with eight pars with seven of them coming on the front nine. Pettersen finished the tournament with a 32-over par 172.

Sophia Reed (Estero, Fla./Estero) finished just outside the top ten, tying for 11th at 36-over par (176). The freshman dropped four strokes from her day one score, posting a 16-over 86 in the second round.

Women's golf returns to action on Thursday, October 9 as they compete in the Husky Invitational at The Golf Course at Frosty Valley.
