TEAM NOTES
•
Josh Mason (New Ringgold, Pa./Blue Mountain) is set to wrestle in his final season as a Husky. He led Bloomsburg with 23 wins last season, including nine falls and a team-best 11 bonus point wins. Mason is a two-time NCAA Tournament qualifier for Bloomsburg after finishing as the runner-up at 141 pounds at the MAC championships and going 3-1 in the tournament. He took eighth at 141 pounds at the Midlands and fourth at 141-A at the Journeymen Classic.
• Mason is 67-39 all-time at Bloomsburg with 37 pins for his career. The 37 falls is fifth all-time at Bloomsburg and Mason needs just eight pins to move into a three-way tie for second and nine for sole possession of second. The Huskies all-time pin leader is Shorty Hitchcock with 58 pins from 1969-1974.
• Mason needs just 23 wins this season to become the 19th 100-win wrestler at Bloomsburg. His 23 wins last season was his highest single-season win total with the Huskies, which he posted 19 wins in 2019-20, 5 in a COVID-shorted 2020-21 season, and 20 wins in 2021-22.
•
Shane Noonan (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton Area) looks to build on a strong 2022-23 campaign in which he finished second on the team with 20 wins and had a team-best 10 falls. He took first at the Journeymen Classic last season in the 285-C bracket,
