YORK, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's swimming team finished third overall at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships with 840 team points. The Huskies capped the four-day tournament with a school record and strong times in the final five events.

Wenzel had an impressive four-day championship capped her first-ever PSAC tournament with an all-conference and school record swim in the 100-yard freestyle. Wenzel took third overall after being seeded fourth coming out of the prelims. Wenzel touched the wall at 41.23, which is an NCAA B Cut and the school record at Bloomsburg. The previous record was set by Nikki Young in 2018.

Senior
Courtney Hubric (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin) joined Wenzel in the A Final and finished eighth with a time of 53.19.
Grace Beierschmitt (Dover, Pa./Dover) won the B Final with a time of 53.01 while
Sydney Lloyd (Nescopeck, Pa./Berwick) finished 16
th overall and eighth in the B Final with a time of 53.75.

To open the day,
Katie Sharkey (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) took 15
th overall in the 1,650-yard free with a time of 18:25.48.

Gabi Walsh (Elizabethtown, PA/Elizabethtown) qualified for the A Finals of the 200-yard back and finished third overall at 2:06.11.
Madison Osanitsch (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg) finished 12
th overall and fourth in the B Finals with a time of 2:08.51 while
Jada Stambaugh (West Lawn, Pa./Wilson) took third in the C Finals and 19
th overall with a time of 2:11.15.

Anna Sugra (Millersville, Pa./Penn Manor) captured second in the B Final and 10
th overall with a time of 2:25.30 in the 200-yard breaststroke.
Taleah Ruben (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) took sixth in the final and 14
th overall with a time of 2:29.66.
Tara Kupsky (Bear Creek Township, Pa./Wyoming Seminary) finished 20
th overall and fourth in the C Final with a time of 2:29.37.

Wenzel, Beierschmitt, Osanitsch, and Hubric took second in the 400-yard freestyle relay to end the championship meet with a time of 3:29.67, their best time this season.

The Huskies have several NCAA B cuts and now await the potential selection for the NCAA Championships, beginning on Wednesday, March 8.
