Baudille Breaks Program Record, Women's Track and Field Has Huge Day at SU Tune Up

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The women's track and field team had a big day at the SU Tune Up on Saturday evening as the Huskies broke one school record, hit two Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying marks and posted 10 different Top 10 finishes. 
 
Madison Baudille (Babylon, N.Y./Babylon) broke the program's record in the shot put with her throw of 12.42, which gave her first place in the event and hit a PSAC qualifying mark. In the same event, Becca Martin (Wellington Florida/Cushing Academy) finished seventh overall (10.88m) and Kendra Yeboah (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland High School) finished 11th (10.44m).
 
In the first event of the evening, Melissa Sicinski (Fountainville, Pa./Pennridge) ran a time of 8.15 in the 60-meter dash to place second overall. 
 
Gabrielle Wetzel (Manchester Township, NJ/Manchester Township) gave the Huskies another Top 10 placement in the mile, finishing eighth with a time of 5:35.09. Emma Fortune (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./James M. Coughlin) was not far behind as she placed 12th (5:41.03). 
 
In the high jump, both Bloomsburg competitors finished in the Top 10 as Lilly Slater (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township High School) finished seventh (1.42m) and Bailey Corrigan (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra High School) placed 10th (1.37m). 
 
Sydney Derr (Fogelsville, Pa./Northwestern Lehigh) hit a PSAC qualifying mark in the pole vault with her mark of 3.20m. The vault also gave Derr a second-place finish. 
 
Lorelei Eberly (Downingtown, Pa./Coatesville Area High School) led a trio of solid performances in the long jump as she finished fifth with a leap of 4.83m. Slater placed 10th overall (4.59m) and Corrigan finished 12th (4.58m). 
 
In the triple jump, Sydney Beaverson (York, Pa./Red Lion) placed fifth overall with a ja jump of 10.36m. 
 
Baudille gave the Huskies an additional Top 10 placement in the weight throw as she finished seventh overall with a toss of 13.52m. 
 
The Huskies will be back in action next weekend with the PSAC Indoor Championships. The two-day event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25 and Sunday, Feb. 26 at Bucknell University in Lewisburg.
