Josh Mason (New Ringgold, Pa./Blue Mountain) ended his season with a pair of hard-fought decisions at the 2023 NCAA DI Wrestling Championships, Thursday. Mason ended the season with a 23-16 overall record.

Mason earned the #33 seed in the tournament and faced #32 Kal Miller of Maryland in the preliminary round. After Mason got at takedown midway through the first period, he built just over a minute of riding time before Miller got an escape. After choosing bottom to start the second, Miller got another escape to tie the match at 2-2. The two grapplers went through most of the second and nearly all of the third battling it out without either gaining control until Miller was awarded a take down with two seconds left for the come-from-behind win over Mason.

The New Ringgold, Pa. native faced off against #30 Seth Koleno from Clarion in the consolation round. After going through a scoreless first period, Koleno got an escape and a takedown to take a 3-0 lead before he pinned Mason at 3:20 to move on to the consolation brackets.

Mason's finishes his career at Bloomsburg with a 67-39 record and 37 pins in four years. He is fifth all-time at BU in pins and has two 10+ pin seasons. He was a back-to-back NCAA qualifier for the Huskies.
