LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Bloomsburg baseball team had six players land a spot on the 2023 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Baseball All-Conference Teams as released by the conference Tuesday afternoon.
Eli Riley (Harrisburg, Pa./Mercersburg Academy) was selected to the First Team and
Brandon Ernst (Limerick, Pa./Spring Ford),
Dansby Keenan (Cleveland Heights, Oh./Benedictine),
Brady Ebbert (Etters, Pa./Red Land),
Jared Marshman (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) and
Wyatt Metzger (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) all earned nods to the Second Team.
Riley was named to the First Team after leading the Huskies in hitting with a .372 batting average. The junior outfielder finished the year with 45 hits, 25 runs scored, 25 RBI's and 11 extra-base hits.
Ernst was selected to the Second Team after finishing the year tied for a team-high eight home runs and the senior catcher was second on the team in RBI's with 34. Ernst hit .351 this year, which was second on the team behind Riley, and he accumulated 40 hits and 32 runs to go along with five doubles.
Keenan earned his all-conference selection after hitting .337 and racking up 10 extra-base hits during his first season with Bloomsburg. The junior finished the 2023 season with 31 hits, five doubles, one triple, four home runs and 20 RBI's.
Ebbert hit .318 and started 25 games for Huskies this year and earned the all-conference selection after recording 28 hits and 14 runs scored. The freshman infielder added five doubles, two home runs and 16 walks in addition to his .419 on base percentage.Â
Marshman capped off his final season with the Huskies by earning a Second Team selection after going 6-2 on the mound and posting a 3.41 earned runs average. The right-hander pitched three complete games this year and closed out his career as the program's all-time leader in career wins (25) and strikeouts (230).
Metzger was the final Husky to earn a spot on the All-PSAC Second Team, and the junior received a selection as a designated hitter. This year, Metzger hit eight home runs and recorded nine doubles to go along with a .308 batting average and 32 RBI's.
