BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - Bloomsburg women's soccer head coach
Matt Haney announced the Huskies will host an Alumni Day/PSAC Championship celebration on Saturday, September 30 when Bloomsburg hosts West Chester at Steph Pettit Stadium. The Huskies will honor both the 1998 and 2018 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) teams during the day while welcoming all alumni back to campus.
The celebration of the 1998 and 2018 teams is the 25th and fifth anniversary, respectively, of the Huskies PSAC Championships.

The 1998 team went 16-1-4 for the year and posted an 8-0-2 slate in PSAC contests. The Huskies defeated East Stroudsburg 1-0 in Bloomsburg to claim the title that season. Trey Wirth, the starting goalie for the 1998 team will be inducted into the
Bloomsburg Athletics Hall of Fame on Sunday, October 15.
In 2018, the Huskies won their first title in 16 years and was the first championship under Coach Haney. The title kicked off a run of four-straight NCAA Tournament appearances, two PSAC Titles and the winningest four-year stretch (2018-2023) in Bloomsburg women's soccer history. The Huskies went 17-3-3 that season and were 12-2-2 in conference play. Bloomsburg defeated East Stroudsburg 2-1 in overtime at Steph Pettit Stadium to claim the championship and the Huskies went on to win the Atlantic Region Title in the NCAA Tournament as well.
