LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – The Bloomsburg wrestling team fell to Rider, 42-3, Sunday afternoon. The Huskies dropped to 4-11 on the year and 0-5 in Mid-American Conference (MAC) action while Rider improved to 5-5 and 5-0 in conference duals.

Rider won seven bouts with bonus wins.
Â
Caden Dobbins (Dallastown, Pa./Dallastown) was a bright spot for the Huskies with a scrappy 5-0 decision over Cole McComas at 165 pounds. Dobbins got an early takedown in period one and built riding time through the period. McComas chose the bottom is round two to give even more riding time to Dobbins to help push his lead. The freshman chose bottom to start the third and got an escape point while not sacrificing too much riding time as he captured the 5-0 decision.
Â
Tanner Culver (Hartland, Mich./Hartland) had a hard-fought bout at 184 pounds but Isaac Dean came out on top with a 7-2 decision. Dean had an escape and takedown in the second period but Culver escaped to get on the board, 4-1. Culver chose bottom for the start of the third and got his escape to cut the lead in half, 4-2, but Dean closed out the match with a take down for the 7-2 win.
Â
Dobbins leads the Huskies with a 14-10 record this season and a 10-4 slate in duals.
