BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg men's cross country team is set to compete at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Cross Country Championships in Kutztown on Saturday morning.

The Huskies will see new faces look to make an impact on Saturday, as they return just five runners from the 2023 PSAC Championship squad. Bloomsburg finished eighth at the conference meet last season.

Bernie Empie stated that while the team is looking for younger guys to step up, the team is looking good. "They have been getting a little better each week and are all set to go," said Empie.

This won't be the first time Bloomsburg sees the Kutztown course this season, having finished sixth at the DII/DIII Cross Country Challenge on September 13.
Peyton Riley (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) finished as the top performer for the Huskies in the event, crossing the line with 13th at 27.11.3. Riley posted a career-best 25:57.5 at the Lewis Crossover on October 12. The junior finished 47th at the conference meet last year.

Caden Dufrene (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run) is the only other member of the 2024 squad who finished in the Huskies top-seven last season, placing 75th with a time of 28.55.5. Dufrene posted a season-best time of 26.04.8 at the LHU XC Invitational/Open on September 28.
