EDINBORO, Pa. – The Bloomsburg wrestling team dropped a 31-7 decision to Mid-American Conference (MAC) opponent, Edinboro, Saturday afternoon. The Huskies dropped to 4-14 on the year and 0-7 in the MAC while the Fighting Scots improved to 1-11 and 1-9 in conference action.
 
Bronson Garber (Millersburg, Pa./Upper Dauphin) got the Huskies off to a hot start with a dominant 10-1 major decision over Caleb Edwards. Garber got his first take down with less than 10 seconds to go in the first period and controlled the final two periods. Edwards got an escape, but Garber picked up two more takedowns and got the riding time point for the 10-1 win.
 
Cade Balestrini (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) out-lasted Colin Roberts at 149 pounds. Balestrini built an 11-1 lead through the first two periods before Roberts made his comeback attempt. Roberts scored 11 points in the third period, but Balestrini got a couple of escapes and had the benefit of the riding time point to hang on for the 15-12 win.
 
Gannon Jaquay of the Fighting Scots picked up an 8-5 decision over Nick Antonelli (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) to push the Edinboro lead to 12-7. Max Kirby edged out Caden Dobbins (Dallastown, Pa./Dallastown) 7-6 at 165 pounds to push the hosts' lead to 15-7. A tech fall for Edinboro at 174 kicked off three-straight bonus point wins for Edinboro before the Aden Roe closed out the match for the Fighting Scots with a 5-0 decision at 285.

The Huskies return to action on Saturday, February 17 when Bloomsburg hosts Cleveland State at 1:00 p.m. Prior to the match, the Huskies will honor their graduating seniors.
