BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's tennis team dropped a home contest to District of Columbia, 7-0, at Burt Reese Tennis Center on Friday afternoon.

The Huskies battled in all three doubles contest but was unable to score any victories.
Vishesh Patel (Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India/Asia English School) and
Sergio Dilan (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Cedin) dropped the No. 1 doubles match, 7-5, while
Landon Wall (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca High School) and
Arnav Sharma (Haryana,India/Suncity School) fell 6-4 in the No. 3 doubles spot.

The Firebirds went 6-0 in singles action to claim victory.

Albert Martin (Barcelona/Instituto Menendez y Pelayo) fell in a back-and-forth No. 3 singles match, taking the first set 7-5 over Antonio Simo Durall. Durall won the second set, 6-4, before claiming victory with a 11-9 win in the third set.

Denis Dementev (Saint-Petersburg, Russia/) dropped a pair of close sets, 6-4 and 7-5 in the No. 2 singles match.
Iu Casamitjana (Igualada, Spain/Escola Pia Igualada) fell in the No. 4 singles slot, 7-6 (1), 6-1, and Sharma dropped the No. 6 singles match, 7-6 (4), 3-0).

Bloomsburg is back in action on Saturday, March 9 for a 4 p.m. contest with Frostburg State in Hershey, Pa.
