BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Bloomsburg field hockey coach
Nikki Hartranft has released the schedule for the 2024 season.

The Huskies are coming off the program's best season since 2011, finishing with a 14-5 record and an appearance in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament. The team saw a wide array of postseason awards including a pair of National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Second Team All-Americans in
Aydan McFarland (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg Area) and
Bella Culp (Dauphin, Pa./Central Dauphin).
Genna Bush (Boiling Springs, Pa./Boiling Springs) earned the conference's Freshman of the Year Award while Hartranft was named Coach of the Year.

Bloomsburg begins the season with its first of two New York road trips, opening the year on Thursday, September 5 at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7 features an 11:00 a.m. battle against  another maroon and gold opponent in St. Thomas Aquinas.

The team opens the season at home on Sunday, September 8 as they host Franklin Pierce at noon. Mercy University makes the trip to Bloomsburg on Wednesday, September 11 for a 4:00 p.m. matchup.
The Golden Rams break up Bloomsburg's home stand as Huskies travel to West Chester on Friday, September 13 for a 6:00 p.m. non-conference matchup.

Bloomsburg hosts Mansfield on Sunday, September 15 at 1:00 p.m. in a non-conference game that serves as a rematch of the PSAC quarterfinals. The Huskies then host a 4:00 p.m. home contest against New Haven on Wednesday, September 18.

The maroon and gold begin its second New York road trip on Friday, September 20 for a 7:00 p.m. matchup against Roberts Wesleyan. The team makes the drive to Buffalo on Sunday, September 22 as they face D'Youville at 11:00 a.m.

The conference slate for the Huskies opens on Saturday, September 28 as they travel to Shippensburg for a 1:00 p.m. contest. West Chester travels to Bloomsburg for a 4:00 p.m. matchup on Tuesday, October 1.

Bloomsburg heads to Maryland on Saturday, October 5 for its first PSAC meeting against Frostburg State at 5:00 p.m. The Bobcats join the PSAC in 2024 as an affiliate member for field hockey.

The Huskies face off against the defending national champions, Kutztown, on Wednesday October 9 at 4:00 p.m. at home. IUP serves as the homecoming opponent for Bloomsburg on Saturday, October 12, kicking the day off with an 11:00 a.m. matchup.

Three away games against East Stroudsburg (Wednesday, October 16 @ 3:00 p.m.), Millersville (Wednesday, October 23 @ 6:00 p.m.) and Mansfield (Tuesday, October 29 @ 4:00 p.m.) lead the Huskies into the regular season finale. Friday, November 1 serves as Senior Day as Bloomsburg takes on Slippery Rock at 2:00 p.m.

The PSAC championship tournament begins on November 4, with semifinal matchups held on November 8 and hosted by the top seed. The top six seeds make the conference tournament, with the top two seeds receiving an opening-round bye.
