COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Bloomsburg field hockey team had five players recognized as 2024 NFHCA Division II Scholars of Distinction as released by the association on Friday.

This program acknowledges exceptional undergraduate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher through the fall semester, nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.

Kutztown placed 10 student-athletes on the list to lead Division II while Maryville and Newberry each featured nine.
Â
Impressively, 25 honorees earned this distinction for the fourth consecutive year.

Laura Albert (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn),
Alexandra Bliss (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown Area),
Molly Bross (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge),
Alyxandra Flick (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) and
Hannah Huddleson (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone Area) earned the honor for the Huskies.

Flick is the only Husky on the list with multiple Scholar of Distinction honors, earning her third-consecutive.

The Huskies finished the season with 13-5 record and a 5-4 record in conference play. Bloomsburg ranked as high as fifth in the NFHCA coaches' poll last season.
