BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's swimming wrapped up the regular season with a 110-92 win over IUP at the Nelson Field House pool, Friday afternoon. The Huskies finished the dual meet season 7-2 overall and 4-1 against PSAC opponents.
 
Bloomsburg kicked off the meet with strong showing in the 200-yard medley relay as Grace McBlain (Aldan, Pa./Monsignor Bonner), Vanesa Valli (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk), Rylee Wenzel (West Lawn, Pa./Wilson), and Morgan Holmes (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) went 1:48.41 for the win. Sarah Pickel (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon), Sadie Ludwick (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff), Ashley Martin (Middletown, N.Y./Pine Bush), and Samantha Linsey (Camp Hill, Pa./Cedar Cliff) finished fourth with a time of 1:54.31.
 
Madison Osanitsch (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg) won the 200-yard freestyle with a PSAC qualifying time of 1:56.56. Ella Dittmar (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) took fourth overall with a time of 2:02.31 and McBlain posted a season-best time of 2:04.83 to finish fifth.
 
Valli posted a PSAC mark in the 200-yard IM as she took third overall with a time of 2:13.12 and Holmes swam her season-best time of 2:19.64 to finish fifth.
 
The Huskies had a strong showing in the 50-yard free as Linsey won with a season-best time and her PSAC qualifying mark of 24.70. Julia Riegel (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks South) came in fourth with a PSAC time of 25.63. Pickel swam an exhibition time of 25.60, a PSAC mark and season-best time for the sophomore. Sydney Platt (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) posted a season-best time of 26.70 and Jordyn Kinnee (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) swam a 27.52, a season-best time, both as exhibitions.
 
Wenzel hit a career-best time of 26.20 win the 50-yard butterfly and Valli followed suit with a third-place finish of 26.92 – both a career and season best time. McKenna Mizikar (Latrobe, Pa./Mount Pleasant Area) took fifth with a time of 27.40.
 
Linsey won her second individual race of the day as she touched the wall first in 100-yard free with a PSAC qualifying time of 54.63. Sid Beers came in second with her PSAC time of 55.41.
 
Osanitsch picked up her second individual win as she took first in the 500-yard freestyle with a PSAC qualifying time of 5:12.82. Dittmar finished fourth at 5:29.26.
 
Holmes, Beers, Cunningham, and Wenzel won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:38.45 while Pickel, Walsh, Linsey, and Riegel took third at 1:43.57.
 
Walsh took third in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 28.56 while Pickel posted a season-best time of 29.30 to finish fourth.
 
Sadie Ludwick (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff) finished second overall in the 50-yard backstroke with a season-best time of 32.13 while Taleah Ruben (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville) took fifth with a time of 33.88. Kinnee came in sixth at 34.10.
 
The Huskies closed out the meet with a win in the 400-yard freestyle relay as Beers, Holmes, Cunningham, and Wenzel swam a 3:38.90, six seconds ahead of IUP.
 
Bloomsburg returns to the pool on February 1 when the Huskies honor the graduating seniors with an intrasquad meet.
