CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Bloomsburg wrestling team fell to Cleveland State, 40-0, Friday evening.
 
Nicholas Foster (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) battled at 174 pounds against Gavin Ricketts but fell to in a sudden victory decision. Ricketts took a 1-0 match lead in the second period with an escape after choosing the bottom to start. Foster returned the favor with a start on the bottom and an escape to tie the match and send it into overtime. Ricketts got a quick take down in the extra period for the 4-1 decision.
 
Kolby Flank (Easton, Pa./Wilson Area) got out to a quick lead against JR Reed at 184 pounds as he had an early first period takedown for the 3-0 lead. Reed cut the lead to 3-1 with an escape to close out the first period. Flank deferred the choice to start the second and Reed chose bottom. He got an escape and take down for the 5-3 lead. Flank answered with an escape of his own to cut the match lead to 5-4 at the end of the second. Flank chose bottom to start the third and Reed rode out the final two minutes to earn the riding time point and the 6-4 decision win.
 
William Morrow (Harleysville, Pa./North Penn) had a tough battle at 157 pounds but fell in overtime to Reese Stephen, 4-1. Stephen chose bottom to start the second period and got on the board with an escape to take a 1-0 lead. Just as Foster did at 174 pounds, Morrow also chose bottom to start the third and got his escape to tie the match. As neither wrestler scored for the rest of the time, the match went into overtime and Stephen got the sudden-victory takedown win for the 4-1 decision.
